The Illusion of Hollywood, A Non Cosmetic Blog

There is, in my humblest, lowly opinion, such a thing, as taking too many liberties.

This be a perfect example:

Your thoughts?

Perhaps I’m too much of a purist to give this it’s proper dues (Am I the only one that finds it deeply disturbing they choose an American actress to portray Jane freaking Austen! The height of blasphemy! How did England let us get away with this?!?!? I believe the BBC even had a doing in this! My god the world must be coming to an end I say!)!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. So is it Colin Firth for you? I know you have your very own Darcy, but Colin will always be mine. And speaking of Dear Darcy and Co., do you know the book “Mr Darcy Takes A wife”? It was written as a bawdy sequel to P&P. Not much to do with Jane Austin. Amazon has it, and quite a few of the same ilk it seems. The book opens with Elizabeth not being able to sit comfortably in the coach as they are coming back from the honeymoon…. well, you can imagine why she can’t sit! Not for purists, but entertaining summer reading.

    Princess Lynn!

How are you my dear mate?
Sigh…My Darcy is quite tucked tight in his bed now I believe. Sigh…why is England so bloody ahead of us? Damn timezone! Do away with it I say!

Anyway…as that Darcy rests….we shall discuss the other love of my love Mr Colin Firth. Do remove your hands from him. He be mine! hehe!

Colin does it for me and surprisingly Mathew did a great job as well! That fantastic bathtub scene with Colin Firth is forever embedded in my mind!

Peter Settelen also had me close to swooning in the 1980’s version!

LOL!!!!!!!! Yes I have read it and dare I blush for Jane Austen LOL! have you read the sequel to it?

Darcy and Elizabeth Nights and Days at Pemberley! That gets quite entertaining with a bit of sex here and there! Fun for the entire family there! LOL!

I’m quite guilty of reading every sequel every written! If you REALLY want some awesome reading try Amanda Grange’s Darcy’s Diary..it’s written from his stand point and just so wonderful!

It’s so nice to get into Darcy’s head! Now I need to get into My Darcy’s head and all would be right with the world!

    😉

Love and Hugs to you and your Sir Artist!

I did read “Mr Darcy Takes A wife”. But had no idea there were so many varieties of sequels. I shall pounce on the diary. Anything to prolong the Darcyvisions. I do love it when Colin thrashes Hugh Grant also.

Sir Richard is Canadian with loads of soulful Celtic blood that he paints with sometimes…. Long story.

Your dear boy looks the waters are running deep. He needs his rest. You two have a 21st century version of a very romantic 19th century thing going—seems to me.

    Goodnight, Amused.

    Princess Lynn.

Oh lord there are quite a many! They take up an entire bookshelf in my “makeup room”! hehe!

You must look for Darcy’s Diary! It’s superb! I believe you’ll adore it!

I do try to prolong them by watching PandP over and over and over and over and over…..how very embarrassing to admit 😉

Sir Richard is a dreamy soul I imagine 😉

I think I may steal much of his sleep as of late! A 21st century version of a 19th century affair….mmmm you are the romantic my friend 🙂

I think I was born in the wrong century 😉 I’d fit right into the 19th century without a problem and I’d love all the corset to suck in my wobbly bits and pieces!!!!!!

Now it’s time for my beauty rest I’d say. I’m a weary weary soul tonight and sometimes no rest comes for those this weary 😉

    Many hugs!
