Chat with the Muse

Hello there!

The Muse would like to chat with you 😉

I guess the question to ask is do you want to chat with the Muse 😉

I know many of you are in Asia, Europe, and spread out across the US (and other exotic lands) so the best thing to do when arranging this chat is to ask what particular times are good for everyone!

So if you’re interested in having a live chat with readers, myself, and maybe fellow Beauty Blog Members do comment and let me know times and dates you are free!

I’ll choose the time and date according to how many people reply and what looks like a good time frame!

The last time I held a chat only one reader, Sarah, turned up sadly and quite a few of my fellow bloggers on the Beauty Blog Network!

We had a rather fabulous time (at least I think we did lol) and Sarah was an absolute joy to speak too!

I know that’s because many of you are 5-6 hours off from my own time so this is a good way to see when everyone is free!

Soooooooooooooooooo…..

If you’d like to chat about all good things cosmetic and otherwise my ears are open! Comment box at the ready! Throw some dates and times my when we can all get together for a giggle and a babble!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

    Hi Muse-y,

lol- I like to call you that- not sure you like “Muse-y”? I know your real name but you are my makeup Muse so I do think of you as “the Muse”. 🙂 Ms. Muse-y. 🙂

Anyways, thanks for giving me little shout outs on your blog, ha- I get a big kick out of it!It makes me feel like I know a celebrity or something! :p I would love to get together for another chat next time you hold one. I’m on-line all the time but it varies. I’m in Pacific Standard time (Oregon) and I usually pop on here all throughout the day/night 3pm-4am! Anytime inbetween there. If when you set a time and date I’ll try my best to be here again, it was a blast last time! I quite enjoyed it. 🙂

The blog is looking good- I’m getting used to the new set up- it’s very pretty.

    Cheers~

    Sincerely,
    Sarah

Very nice the new design of the blog. Well maybe you can suggest an hour maybe 6 pm. so in other countries (not all) if there are hours off from your time it wont be late. I guess no so early (monday-friday) because many people are in their jobs. And better if you chat on saturday or sunday.

    Andrea =)

    I’m thrilled!

I really had a good time last time too and we had such great cosmetic chitter chatter!

Aw great! Glad you like it. Anything need adding or changing? Let me know!

    Hello Andrea!!!!!

Thanks so much! Glad you like it!

We can go with a sunday chat! That sounds good! And around 6 or so seems a good time (that’d be 11 or so euro side). A bit early for the girls in Singapore though! I guess we might have to have several times to fit the euro side and the asian side 😉

    Thanks for your input lovie!

    And for visiting 😉

Looking forward to chatting with you!

Awww, I’d quite happily chat with the Muse! My only issue is my idiotic disability (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type III– look it up if you’re ever bored some day): I can’t exactly sit up for very long. So I’m not going to throw any sort of date out there seeings how I don’t know how bad, good, or in-between I’m going to be on any particular day. I’m actually typing lying down on my side and lemme tell ya, that’s an interesting experience. lord.

BUT! whatever date you guys decide on, I’ll do my best to show up. For I do love the Muse and her blog.

    Off I go!

  • the Muse

yay! We can always arrange it around your schedule or you and I can do a one on one chat 🙂

I looked up Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and it sounds very painful 🙁 Have you always had it or was it something that’s developed over time! With the cooler weather is it worst? 🙁

I hope you’re not in a ton of pain lovie.

What if you prop yourself in bed with pillows on your back and stacked around you would that be a bit more comfortable maybe?

    Aww thanks sweetie 🙂

Like I said if you can’t make it I can arrange for a time for you and I to do a one on one! We have tons to discuss!

    Hugs!

    My dear Muse,

Well m’dear, sadly I was born with ED. I got it from my silly-ass birth mother–I actually have a picture of her and her elbows have the same ninety degree hyper-extension angles that my elbows do (or, as I explained it when I was a child, “My arms have extra corners!”) so I know for a fact that I got it from her. However, when I was a kid nothing hurt. It was actually fun when I was a little kid: I’d pop my elbows out of joint and gross out the girls and I’d pop my shoulders out of joint and gross them out further. The boys thought it was awesome and so did I. But when I got to third grade things started to go wrong. The joints in my hands and fingers started to grind and slip out of place and by eighth grade I was in terrible pain to the point where some days I couldn’t even move. Hell, I almost didn’t finish my senior year in high school because I could move to get to high school.

Thankfully when I got out of high school I started on a pain management program (basically lots and lots of heavy-duty pain medication) and went to occupational therapy where I got braces for my fingers and wrists and shoulders and I was given a TENS unit to basically shock my back into shutting up and when that no longer worked, I was given a neurostim to shock it even further and thankfully that thing still works. And on my own I went to a corsetier (i think that’s how you spell that) to have a custom-made corset for my back. I tried orthopedic corsets and they’re crap: they latch with velcro. VELCRO. When your back’s as bad as mine is, velcro just doesn’t cut it.

Cold weather actually doesn’t affect it, thankfully! The heat, however, makes my skin prickle up something awful and then I’m all itchy and whiny and have to go marinate in cold water for about an hour. The sucky thing about ED is that it effects ALL of your connective tissue in your whole body. So while my tendons and cartilage are what gives me the most trouble, the connective tissue in my skin gives me crap sometimes too. Hell, ED type IV effects cardiovascular connective tissue and most of those poor people don’t live out of their twenties! ED is an absolutely fiendish, satanic genetic disorder. stupid genes.

As for your pillow idea, I actually do a variation of that! I’ve got a huge California King mattress and over that I’ve got two memory foam bedpads (another thing I’m saving up to buy is a genuine Temperpedic mattress in addition to a ginormous plasma or LCD HD TV. and a widescreen monitor because i’m a total film maniac.) and they support my back really really well most of the time. So my computer’s set up on the back of the bed and I can either sit up and type or lay down and type, depending on how my damn spine feeling. Like right now I’m sitting up! And weirdly enough, pillows tend to push my individual vertebrae from side to side. Why, I don’t know. My back = ridiculous.

Anyhow! Before I ramble any longer! Because I help my mum out with taking care of all our animals during the week (we have a LOT of animals), I’m usually really tired during the week but Friday evening through all of Sunday are my most alert times. But I’ll happily chat with you only or you with a group of people just whenever you or said group can! Whatever’s most convenient for you is good for me! I’ll do my absolute best to show up because god knows I’d love to chat with you live my dear Muse!

And hey, I would absolutely love love love to do just a one-on-one chat with you! We do have a lot to talk about judging from my complete inability to shut up in your comments section, heehee.

Now I really really should try and sleep a bit! Har har, that is if I can actually get to sleep. damn brain.

Have a good day m’dear! Shall talk to you soon!

    *hugs back*
