Shu Uemura’s Spring Collection: Rebirth

Mr Uemura’s newest collection is up and available for purchase if you’re wanting to get a head start on your Spring Collection Shopping!

I think I may wait or just skip altogether on this one. Lovely colors in the pressed shadows and the blush are nice enough I guess but I know at least three other Spring Collections that are much prettier!

How about you?

Need it?
Passing it?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I think Shu lacks designers where the cases are concerned… the packaging is always less than attractive and the colours are nearly boring… I love princessy cases like what Jill Stuart offers (I believe u love theirs too! saw ur collection quite some time ago!) and i love shimmer and glitter so I’d stick to MAC’s pigment and glitter or the Japanese eye shadows…

    hello cosine!

True. It’s not the most glamorous of packaging in the world! I adore beautiful packaging too! I most admit that Shu’s simplicity sometimes wows me though 🙂 I kinda of like the simpleness of the shadows and the blushes. It’s rather nice to be able to get one out and not worry about getting fingermarks on it or worrying about powder spilling onto it etc…!

Shu’s shadows are quite pigmented that’s for sure 😉

But I do prefer JS for sure! and MAC 🙂

    Thanks for your comment!
    Happy New Year!

Hey Muse! How was your Christmas? I think I’ll pass on this collection too as I really *really* should start using the makeup I already have rather than buying new stuff every week/month. I am meaning to get into Shu stuff though (I have nothing from Shu!). What’s a good “entry point”?

    ‘ello 🙂

My Christmas was lovely! Quite, quite lovely! How was yours?

To be honest I should do the same but it gets so out of hand sometimes and I get a bit obsessive about what I want and what I need! This year I hope I can do a bit better with my collecting habits!

Shu makes some fab stuff 🙂 Good entry would be blushes and shadows for sure as they are a love of mine or the curler. Can not live without the curler hehe!

Everything else is somewhat hohum for me. The shadows are very pigmented as are the blushes 😉

I also adore the rouge unlimited!

Hope your new year is fab darling!

    Have a happy one!
