The Body Shop Spring Boom Spring Collection 2008

The Body Shop’s Spring Bloom Collection is available online and in shops! Exciting!

I was lucky enough to view a beautiful FOTD created by a reader and fellow blogger using most of the collection and I must say I was very impressed! The colors are simply divine! I was particular in love with the Blushing Daisies Powder that was used to create the look!

Body Shop has been coming out with some rather lovely Collections lately and I look forward to each one and always pick up two or three items from each color story released!

This year the collection is entitled Spring Bloom and includes an array of yummie items that are sure to tempt to you!

First of all as I mentioned earlier the Blushing Daisies Powder caught my eye! The powder is $19.50 USD and comes in a light and dark pink variation. This is a shimmering blush with a pearl finish!

Everywhere I look I see eyeshadow duos and Body Shop’s Spring Collection is no different. They have released three color variations of shadow duos entitled Shimmer Buds that are $16.50 USD Each. The color range includes green and silver, gold and green, and peach and blue. I own a few of the single shadows from past collections and I’m happy to say they are packed full of sparkle and have excellent color payoff so I suspect these little guys are no different!

With the Spring Collection a new set of Shimmer Blocks were released in a quad of four colors for $19.50 USD. The colors include Blue, Green, Gold, and Copper.

Also available is a liquid highlighter in pink for $14 USD which offers a touch of color for giving your face a natural, highlighted glow!

And finally two new glosses entitled Lip Bloom are available with the Spring Bloom Collection in Rose and Peach for $15.50 USD each.

The Collection looks very lovely and each piece is limited edition however the prices do make me wince slightly. Quality is very good on these as I’ve collected a few pieces from previous color releases however the prices are near counter price and I can get even better quality for alot less. This year the prices increased by a dollar or two from last season and although the collection is lovely I think I’ll wait for the Season to end and nab these items on sale!

Loving this?

Have it already?

    Hey hun

Don’t really like the eyeshadows as they’re too bright for my liking. The highlighter in my opinion would only work well with someone that has pale skin because i looked absolutely washed out when i tried it.

Oh, i’ve got the sugar cubes but in the darkest set. I think they had 3 different variations when i bought mine so i settled for the darkest ones.

I’m certainly not liking the lippies. A little bit too sticky/gluey for me.

  • the Muse

    hey ping!

LOL I’m settling on MAC 1st 😉 and maybe later one of these!

    The temptation is strong teehee!

  • the Muse

    hey Allysia-May!

That’s for the short review as I know you used most of these and tested ’em out!

The eyeshadows are tempting me as I love bold shades!

The highlight is a no go for me. I never know how to use this stuff correctly and it always feels sticky 😛

the shimmer cubes are nice but I always use one color and not the others 😛

Lippies ALWAYS seem so sticky 😛

I think I’m sorta giving myself the pep talk about how I don’t need any of this 😉

Trying to convince myself and just say NO!

oh i LOVE these!!! have both of the Blushing Daisies and i just LOVE them 😀 currently eyeing the Shimmering buds in the Green/Gold combo. it reminds me of the Shimmering Cubes Palette# 10 that i’ve been nuts about trying to locate one (it was out more than a year ago). i collect these Shimmering Cubes and have all of them except for #10!!!!! if you see a new & seal one anywhere, TELL ME, okay, Muse? it’s been trying me crazy that i don’t have it in my collection!!!!

  • Sminkan

I totally agree! The price tag is a bit to high regarding quality and brand. I only have one item from TBS, a green creamy eyeshadow (smudger?) and I really don’t find it as god as it should cnsidering the mney it cost.

  • MandyPandy

I was at TBS last week and and tried the new collection; I wasn’t all that impressed with the Blushing Daisies compact or the the Pink Glow Enhancer. Milani’s Shimmer Stripes are 10x better than the Daisies compact, at a quarter of the price! Even the Pink Glow Enhancer falls whort of the Body Shop’s regular Glow Enhancer lineup. It’s not so much glowy as it is sparkly, to my eye.

    hey d!

They look cute as hell 😉 Did you review?

Hmm I have a shimmer cube but not sure if it’s 10 if so you can have it. I got one last year but dunno if it’s 10 or not. It has green yellow copper and something else 🙂

If I see I’ll def pick it up for you *mwah*

lol you’re so cute 🙂 I like this obsessive nature of D 😉

  • the Muse

    hey Sminkan!

I bet it’s even more expensive on your end of the world!

I have a few bits I’ve collected here and there but I normally wait for them to come on sale b/c they really aren’t worth the high cost in my humblest, I agree totally with you!

  • the Muse

did I miss a reply to you mandy?

    Hm I think I did.

Honestly I’ll wait for a sale for all of this as it’s just too pricey 😛

    rather buy some mac;) hehe!

  • Dalenna

    Hey you!

I’ll definitely review the Blushing Daisy soon. For now, I’m still enjoying my Stila Push-up Fuchsia Flash. Don’t worry though, I’ll be rotating it promptly. Gotta keep my own attention, ya know? I get bored very easily.

Actually, it was the palette 10 that triggered my obsession with the shimmer cubes. My sis (Eno’s sis) wore it to dinner with us one night, and it was just a GORGEOUS metallic cream/beige and my eyes were literally glued to her through out dinner. Finally, when we visited her pad, she pulled me to her vanity and pointed at the Shimmer Cubes palette 10 – “That’s the stuff I used!” she said. And the rest was history. I was hunting after every palette ever made since, well, with the exception of 6 (too red/coppery – yuck) and 7 (too cool).

So yah, if you would grab one for D, D will owe you a nice dinner 😀 You should come on over for dinner sometimes. I’ll make my favorite hiroshima yaki for you!

    Hi!

I just re-read my comment and I see my “o” is missing here and there… Lol. Well, you obviously did get the meaning of my words.
Still, it looks like I am stupid…

  • the Muse

    hey D!

    Sorry for the delayed reply!

    YAY can’t wait 😉

I get bored easy too 😉 I’m actually selling off all the push ups I purchased *insert rolling eyes here*

Mmm I don’t think that’s the one I have then! it sounds stunning!
I just peeked on ebay and nada 😉

If I see one or I come across anything in my personal stash (doesn’t sound familiar but I have so much sometimes I’m forgetful what I do and do not possess) I’ll definately give/get it for you!

hiroshima yaki? I’m all over that babe! With a nice fried egg? Yummie!

Don’t laugh too hard I may knock on your door tomorrow. When it’s Japanese food the Muse is all serious hehe!
