Indonesian Cosmetic Brands

My post on Korean brands was very popular and it inspired me to do more posts about brands that can be found abroad!

I thought I’d branch out and do a few posts like this and will be bringing you a few brands from all around the world that might interest you!

Here at Musings I have quite a range of readers from all over the world so why not do a bit of a spotlight on different brands found in different countries!

I find these posts particularly enjoyable and I think that you as a reader might as well! Being overly exposed to many brands here in the US I get tired of seeing the same things over and over again and being the cosmetic junkie I am I love the thrill of a new brand that’s unattainable here in the US.

Today I thought I’d focus on Indonesian Cosmetic Brands. Indonesia has the standard line of cosmetics that you can pretty much find here in the US but they also have a few interesting brands that I’ve been privy too and find interesting one of which is PAC Beauty.

PAC Beauty is a lovely brand that has a wide selection of interesting colors and products to choose from!

The Spring release entitled Glitz and Gold looks particularly interesting!

The selection available is vast but it holds little appeal to me due to it’s rather boring packaging although the eyeshadow stackables are interesting enough and similar in style to MAC pigments only smaller in size!

Stackable Loose Eyeshadows

Some color selections available in the loose shadow catalog!

Lip Rouge

Lipglosses

Eyeshadow Palettes

Makeup Artist Kit

Out of the entire line what I enjoyed most is the adverts and interesting face charts they have created using the color combos available in there catalog! I actually find the advertisement for the collection much more attractive and appealing then I do the actually cosmetics. Again this could be do to packaging but it looks a tad on the cheap side however if I can create some of the looks below I’d say it’s well worth my hard earned cash!

A particular favorite advert of mine! I love the contrast of the black and white photo and beautiful green shadow on her eyes!

The goddess series adverts are amazingly well done as well! There are four total rotating and each is more dramatic then the last!

I’ve never tried anything in the line aside from two loose eyeshadows which were both highly pigmented aside from that I’ve never been curious enough to dive into anything else they offer! Although the advertising is beautiful, packaging always sells the cosmetic to me and this sadly fails in that department!

Sariayu is another brand available within Indonesia. Sadly, the brand is also equally as boring packaging wise as Pac Beauty although they do incorporate some fun colors into the packaging!

Sariayu carries a range of cosmetics as well as haircare, skin and body care, and herbal supplements which translates as it’s your one stop shop for beautifying your entire self inside and out!

Although the line has a wide range of colors available the product list is small and only includes some lipsticks, glosses, eyeshadow, and blush for the point makeup. This basically consists of very simple eyeshadow palettes and nothing too elaborate.

Lipsticks

Eyeshadow Palette

Blush Palette

Even though the packaging fails to wow me it deserves to be mentioned that the shades are very flattering and in complimenting with the modern Indonesian girl’s coloring and skintone in mind! For example see below adverts from the past and how gorgeous the cosmetics look on the models skintone and type!

These particular adverts are about 10 years old but notice the beautiful juicy red lips and lovely greens and golds that compliment the look of the model perfectly! I truly love these looks and wish I could pull off a similar style!

All and all I don’t particularly like the style of packaging and feel it needs a bit of a revamp however the line is interesting if nothing else!

Finally last on my hit list for Indonesia is Caring Colours. Caring Colours is really a tiny line as far as I know (do correct me if I’m wrong). They carry the typical point and base makeup products but the colors combinations are nothing wow aspiring and the catalog is very basic with little frills!

Blush Compact

I do love the eyeshadow trios available though as they come in some wonderful color combos that compliment each shade in the palette perfectly!

Caring Colours Eyeshadow Trio

Indonesia has the promise of some interesting brand but fails the Muse with it’s poor packaging options!

However, the uniqueness and different products carried throughout each line definately holds some appeal!

Indonesia carries standard drugstore brands as well such as L’oreal, Revlon, Etc..however the true promise lays in what is exclusively available to it’s country alone and these are some brands you might find in your local Indonesian drugstore!

Anyone from Indonesia?

glad u post abt Indonesian brands, Muse! I’m from Indonesia btw, and honestly I’m not a big fan of Indonesian make up brands. So far I have tried Sariayu skin care and it turned out very dissapointing to my sensitive face. Caring Colour is one of the Sariayu sub-brand, it looks promising, I’ve tried the foundation but my skin allergic to it. Another low-end brand called pixy(the company is from Japan, but the brand is only for Indonesia, I guess), it provides basic colors with very cheap price. I like the blush on, it’s very pigmented but blends really well to my skin.
All packagings are boring, that’s very true, haha, but it’s because they want to cut the production costs. Oh, btw, the skincare range from Viva (I think it’s the 1st Indonesian cosmetic brand) is good too, simple but harmless to the skin.
these are the sites u might want to check:
    http://www.vivacosmetic.com/

    cheers!

  • Pinkdance1

I must say- I find all of these asian brands to be rather fascinating!

Ohhh, when are we going shopping?! If you want we could even check out bendels for mally stuff 😉 Testing it in person is awesome :wink wink:

    -Adina

  • MakeupWithLakahna

np anytime, everyone just looks so cute.
we should come up with another challenge, so if you have any ideas, please let us know. itd be like a fun every month or other month thing to do. its so fun to see what everyone comes up with.
hope u didnt mind i linked you because you’re always updating your posts and i love reading them

  • the Muse

    hey adina 🙂

I’m glad you’re digging these 😉 I’m sorta yawning at our regular lineup so it’s nice to discover some beauty from abroad!

Hey one day you should hop the train to White Plains and we can do the mall scene for a bit and then we can drive back down to the city and shop. We can make a day of it I got a park pass so parking is major cheap or we can go by train back whatever is easier. Have you wandered around Mamamorneck Ave at all? They have some kinda sorta funky shops along the strip that carry interesting clothes and such. I know you go to the Westchester so we can easily walk around the Ave and head downward into Neiman’s which will lead us right into the mall. I’m totally babble shop talk at the moment 😉

Can you tell how serious I am about shopping? I’ve wanted to do a round with you for a LONG time but I’ve been so swamped and my schedule has been ridiculously packed! Jamie from Beautychick also is in the area so maybe she can join up with us!

hehe 😉 I likey testing Mally in person 🙂 Btw have you been to Ricky’s?

    Hugs!

  • the Muse

    hey ay!

Oh wow cool! 🙂 🙁 Sadly the packaging isn’t so fab! sigh!

I’ve tried a moisturizing from Sariayu but it wasn’t too great in all honesty 🙁

pixy I haven’t heard of but of course I’ll be in a googling frenzy to have a lookee!

how’s the packaging on pixy? If it’s Japanese perhaps kawaii?

Thanks for the site 🙂 off for a look now!

What sort of posh brands do you have available your end? Such as MAC, etc? And is it costly? Curious!

Thanks for the comment again Ay!

  • the Muse

    hi Lakahna!

Yours was awesome! 😉 Everyone really did a fab job 🙂

I’d love to try out a 60’s one hehehe!

I really enjoyed it! I appreciate the link and will return the favor 🙂 Thanks!!!!!! I enjoy your blog as well! I just recently stumbled upon it!

I’m glad you enjoy reading my endless babble hehe 😉

We definately need to do another challenge too 🙂 Hmm must put on my creative thinking cap 😉

    *hugs*

  • Ping

hey babe! i recently notice PAC only… i was like PACman eh?haha its pretty nice. the gloss pretty interesting. tube form but got a brush ahha

  • Aya

Interesting post! I’ve tried Chinese and Korean makeup brands, but never seen or heard of any Indonesian stuff. Korean stuff is cheap, they have a couple stores downtown. Anywho, I just saw the Lunasol Spring collection online…I like the Blue Green Coral Sheer Contrast Eyes e/s pallete…but like all expensive Japanese products, the colors will probably be too sheer for my taste. I think I’ll try Majolica…I want some of their e/s palettes. (this is out of the ordinary for me, I’m a Kate kinda girl)…Hope you have a nice day 🙂

  • Becky

Just found out I’m going to Taiwan in a few months!! Amazing since most Japanese brands are also there!! Can you write a post on Taiwanese brands, since I’ve never used much and mostly just use the Japanese ones they import? Anyways, great blogging! I always come to this blog 🙂

  • Ay

Pixy packagings are too plain, made from really cheap plastic unfortunately, so u won’t like it I guess 🙁
Most Indonesian brands are producing low-end cosmetics, considering that most ppl having low level income, say abt 100-500 USD depend on their education level. I think PAC is the most pricey one.
Maybelline, L’oreal, etc are middle end.
MAC, body shop, Bloom, etc are middle-high end.
Estee Lauder, Chanel, etc are high end.

    Hope it helps!

  • the Muse

    hiya ping!

LOL 😉 I thought the same when I heard the name 😉

The glosses look very pigmented! A brush applicator for me is a PLUS! I prefer them over a sponge 😉

  • the Muse

    hey aya!

    *mwah*

Thanks! Korea has some really cute brands like Etude House 😉 But Japanese is of course, in my book, the best of the best!

Lunasol is sadly a bit on the sheer side 🙁 The geminite palettes are very pigmented though have you tried them!?

MJ I have tons of the palettes if you need any recs let me know 😉

Hope you’re day went well today! You should be fast asleep about now 😉

  • the Muse

    hiya becky!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting! Lucky lucky you can I come? You can pack me in your suitcase! I’ll fit, I’m short 🙂

I’m actually currently working on a Taiwan post shortly 😉 so you’ll have a nice trip sheet to take with you when you go 🙂

Of course you’ll also have access to great Japanese Brands YAY!

thank you for visiting me I really appreciate it and for commenting 🙂 It brightens up my blog with your input and comments!

    Many Hugs!

  • the Muse

    hiya ay!

aw poop 🙁 I love me some cute packaging!

but sometimes even the bad packaging houses great products. Look at excel…ugly packaging but great product 😉

Your cosmetic price range is about what ours is. Loreal, maybelline is lower for us where as mac, body shop is middle and chanel and such is high! So about the same here 😉

    Thanks for your input lovie!

  • nilla cookie

    Hi Muse!

There are so many brands, I can’t keep up! The black and white photo with the green shadow – the model looks like Kate Beckingsale, so gorgeous! I want to look like her!!!

  • MandyPandy

The ‘Sacred Goddess’ adverts are a bit confusing; Indonesia is a strict Muslim country -why are they worshiping Ladyboys all of a sudden? There is no God but Rupaul, Izzard is his prophet!

Also, unless I am missing something, the ‘Black Goddess’ is Asian, not black.

    Allah will be most displeased!

  • Dalenna

Wow Muse! Gotta say I REALLY REALLY appreciate this post you got here. I have never ever heard about Indonesian makeup brands and it’s so fun to read about new things! I’m really looking forward to what you’ll introduce us to next. Keep up the neat stuff, Muse!

    *hugs*

  • charlieee

    Hi Muse!

wow i think it’s awesome that you branch out to so many other cosmetics line from other countries as well! and i appreciate it very much =)

anyway caring colors, sari ayu and PAC are all sub brands of Martha Tilaar. i think each line targets different consumers. for the not-so-attractive packgaing, guess they are doing it to cut cost. which in turn really make the products really affordable!

i tried some of the caring colors eyeshadows while i was in the dept store before, well i guess its okay. the color comes out like whats in the pan. but i think the sari ayu/ caring color line is really more suited to indonesians skintone. PAC e/s is really pigmented as well!

another brand that’s popular is Ultima II. never tried it before [and i dont think i will hehe] and this brand has really good reviews.

  • the Muse

    hey cookie 🙂

I wanna look like that too 😉 hehe!

    Lord I can’t keep up either 😉 I need a money tree!

    *hugs*

  • the Muse

LOL Mandy you’re brutal. I liked the sacred goddess adverts!

LOL Izzard pulls off drag better then any ladyboy 😉

    LOL LMAO you’re nuts!

If anyone wanders on here they’d think you’re intentionally highjacking my awesome posts 😉

  • the Muse

    hey d!

Thanks love! I appreciate that. I like reading about new cosmetic brands too. It’s kinda fun isn’t it?!

I think I’m going for Brazil next…or maybe Portugal (I’m half Portuguese)!

    😉

  • the Muse

    hi charlieee!

Thanks very very much love. I appreciate it!

I’m excited to share this with you guys and it makes me very happy when you’re just as excited to read about it!

I concur. The lack of packaging does reflect well on the price! You’re feeding me info I didn’t know as I didn’t realize these were subbrands 😉 Thanks for telling me!

I agree totally. I’ve tried to of the pigments but I felt it was better suited to a Indonesian skintype and tone!

We actually have Ultima II here but I’ve never actually tried any of it either!

I think it’s more geared towards the mature woman.

The packaging is nice though and somewhat elegant 😉

    Thanks for your awesome comment!

  • MandyPandy

IDK, I’m more of a RuPaul aficionado than an Izzard fan (if that’s possible). Nobody does it better, IMHO. Makes me feel sad for the rest, really.

Anywho, the Ladyboys are committing sacriledge and Allah (or Rupaul, depending on your religious affiliation) will punish them most severely for their transgressions. I’m hoping for a plague of locusts which will then get trapped in that shiteous weave (and maybe take out a few of the tangles).

They should have at least contacted RuPaul for the ‘Black Goddess’ advert (that shit was MADE for him).

Whatever happened to RuPaul anyway? I miss him/her. 🙁

Actually, after September 11, it’s become much harder to hijack a post. Trust me, I’ve tried.

  • gracie

Wow Muse, I’m from SG but not aware of these indonesian brands. Thanks for your info! 🙂

Hey Muse have u tried any SG cosmetics before? Like Silky girl and O2 skin?

  • Anne

omg! i swear you know all the asian brands. haha. i didn’t even know any of them. where do you get them by the way?

anyway, been a ninja reader for awhile, but i had to comment after seeing this. hehe.

  • Dalenna

    Hey Muse <3

oooohh…BOTH Brazil and Portugal sounds cool. i can’t wait to see what neat stuff you can find from there! cool, Muse, so what’s your other half? 😛

  • Piece of Cake

    Hi Muse,

Thanks for featuring Indonesian make-up lines. I’m from Indonesia and I agree with you the packaging is not good (at all). My favorite line is PAC. The company, I think tried to dupe MAC (MAC –> PAC, see). This one is considered the highest brand among other make-up lines. A lot of make-up artists swore by its products. The huge pallette sells very well over here. I finished one PAC lipstick (and I’ve only finished 3 tubes of lippies in my entire life). The finishing is satin and quite mouisturizing but unfortunately color selection is very limited. The foundation and powders are quite good, don’t cause breakouts, which is important in this heat and humidity.

Marthaa Tilaar, the parent company of those make up lines also has makeup school for personal and professional purposes and I guess that’s the reason why they are a huge hit among local make up artists here.

@mandypandy…ROFL on the ladyboy comment. The woman is a very famous singer here and she took plenty of hit due to her looks in the sacred goddess.

But you know, before Indonesia is a muslim country, it is one who believed in pagans and goddesses. In fact, plenty of Javanese and other in different islands still believe in these goddesses, eventhough they also claim Islam devotees.

We are a country of paradoxes, you know. You should come and visit to prove it 😉

  • the Muse

    Hey mandy!

RuPaul jesus. They need to do the “where is he now” episode for that one!

amanda lepore is the ultimate. Sorry that’s true genius right there not RuPaul!

Izzard pulls off sexy ladyish in a bad way 😉

you are absolutely insane you do realize that dontcha?

    😉

  • the Muse

    hello there gracie!

    You’re most welcome!

I have indeed tried a few ‘pore brands 🙂 but not Silky girl and 02 Skin! I’ll have to google 🙂 I’m working on a post for Singapore at the moment so it’ll be up soon 🙂

    Thanks for commenting 😉

  • the Muse

    hiya anne 😉

Hehehe 🙂 Sadly access to these is super duper limited. But if you head onto MUA you sometimes get a friendly Indonesian that’ll be happy to help you with a CP 😉

I’ve never run across online shops that sell any of these particular brands but Ebay sometimes pops up with a shadow or a blush 😉

Aw thanks for commenting! Don’t be a stranger 😉 Come on over and join the discussion!

    Happy Weekend!

  • the Muse

    hiya D 🙂

Brazil has some interesting brands and so does Portugal 😉

My mum is Italian 🙂 my dad Portuguese and I’m a mixed up combo of both hehe!

but of course my soul is a mix of British and Asian hehe!

  • the Muse

    hiya piece cake 🙂

Thanks for the comment again! I meant to tell you in the other comment you left that I just adore your little picture. You’re too cute 😉 Makes me smile everytime I see it! You look like a happy soul!

Sad to say I agree. Packaging stinks however the quality isn’t bad as I’ve tried some of the loose shadows from PAC and it’s actually good!

LOL add in a P and you got Indonesian MAC eh? 🙂

Wow that’s very interesting. I thought PAC was a mid range and not a higher end. Very interesting! The huge palette looks amazing I was particularly fascinated with the concealers in it!

The lippies looked very nice but I was concerned about the lack of color 🙁

Thanks for all this great info Piece of Cake! It’s quite fascinating to hear a review on the products and more info about them!

Don’t mind Mandy she’s boarded the crazy train with me a long time ago 😉 She’s harmless really hehe!

I’ll come visit 😉 Can we shop?

    hehe!

  • MandyPandy

    Piece of Cake:

I’m aware that Indonesia is actually a moderate Muslim country (so yes, I stretched the truth a bit in my prior comment) and that there are enclaves (like the island of Bali) where Hinduism is predominant, but I’m still surprised no one raised an eyebrow over a brand called ‘Sacred Goddess’. I also hail from a Muslim country, but one that would be less tolerant about such things. Still, for my money, Rupaul is the only transvestite fit to be called ‘Black Goddess’! To heck with those ladyboys!

I would love to come to Indonesia (my Aunt and her husband have been there already and loved it), if only I could afford it. Here’s hoping the dollar goes up soon…

Izzy: I never boarded the crazy train! I hijacked the crazy-plane, remember?

  • the Muse

god lord all the history and religious talk is giving me a headache. This is cosmetics 😛

the dollar will never go up 😛 don’t hold your breath 😉

    w00t! All aboarddddddddd!!!!!!!

  • saving grace

Hey, thank you so much for featuring the Indonesian brands, it’s so nice to see things from my hometown being given the spotlight.

I have only tried PAC’s stacked loose pigment thingies. It’s great, pigmented, shimmery and have awesome lasting power. I agree though that the colours are geared towards those with warm skintones!

  • the Muse

    hello saving grace!

You’re most welcome it’s my pleasure!

I’ve tried the pigments too and they are pretty great 🙂

It’s nice to see someone agrees that the colors are geared more towards a tan/medium skintone!

Any brands I missed? I’d love to hear about more 😉

Cheers and thanks for the comment!

  • Lena

Indonesia is NOT a Moslem country. It has the largest concentration of people of Moslem religion, but the state is not based on any religion, and although there are radical elements trying to change that, it will likely not happen anytime soon. The adverts you see above pale in comparison with others now currently in the media.

Anyway, in terms of make up, I think Thailand and China has a few good selection, some that comes to mind include VoV, Sheene and others.

There’s a few other lovely budget lines from Indonesia, including Inez, La Tulipe (quite good actually), Wardah (a Moslem brand, claiming to be halal), and a few others. I love going to the markets and checking out these budget options, the colors are generally very pigmented.

  • Lena

Ah but I do know one brand from the region with cute packaging, Elianto from Malaysia!
    http://www.elianto.biz
Color pay off is very nice as well, they somehow remind me of the french brand Yves Rocher…

  • the Muse

    hi Lena!

I don’t Mandy meant anything by her comments. She’s just her normal jolly sarcastic self 😉

Indeed China and Thailand do. I did a post about VoV in my Korean Brand post 🙂

I spent some time in Thailand a few years ago and the cosmetics were interesting 😉

Thanks very much for sharing more options from Indonesian 😉 They sound great and I’ll def be googling them up shortly 😉

    Cheers!
    Thanks for the comment(s)!

  • Srie

Hi Muse.. I love your blog, it’s awesome..
I come from Indonesia.. Thanks for featuring Indonesian brands 😀
I’m not really in to local brands, but PAC has a great quality.. Worth to try 😉

    • the Muse

thanks purple so glad you enjoy Musings ;-D!!!!!!!! PAC does really have some great quality items :D!

  • Shawna

I absolutely love your blog, as I too am a big fan of beauty products. I have tried most brands and was never satisfied until I discovered Mary Kay cosmetics. They are in U.S. as well as 34 countries. I will possibly be relocating to Indonesia when i graduate, and wish that Mary Kay was available in Indoensia. What makeup would you recommend when I live there, seeing as Mary Kay will be almost impossible to come by, when living there. Thanks for your blog, it is very intriging!

    • the Muse

hi Shawna this post is the extent of my Indonesian knowledge base hun. Hopefully it helps a little bit…! thanks so much, glad you enjoy Musings!

  • spunkalishis

Indonesia’s government IS most definitely Muslim. My husband is an Indonesian journalist & I lived there for over a decade. We have seen the reality of life there, regardless of the gov’s claims of being a pluralistic, multi-faith country. Quite scary when I got to see the reality through the people my husband knows who are in positions of power. Most Indonesians don’t get to see that, but because of my husband’s profession, I did.

I actually really like Sariayu masks, & their eye shadows I tried were SUPER pigmented out of this world. Indonesian salons also have some great brands like Martha Tilllar. Not thrilled with the PAC line myself, however. I usually bought primarily MAC there or went on makeup buying binges every time I flew to Singapore, which is about a 1 hour flight away and THE destination for rich Indonesians & expats processing their visas. My more financially adept Indonesian friends also brought back high end cosmetics for me from their
travels overseas, which are sadly not widely available there. I couldn’t even get good tampons there because my local women friends said that local girls wont use them for fear of losing their virginity. Total rubbish, but impossible to convince them of the reality.

Anyways, we are going back this year to buy our house & hoping that their cosmetics selection will have improved by then. As cheap as it is to fly to Singapore from there, it’s a pain in the arse, and hotels there are criminally expensive.

  • Chiyu

Hi, Muse.. I’m from Indonesia, i always read your post about Japanese and Korean brand (i adore them)

Kinda shock that you made a review about indonesian product.. lol

You’ve gotta try pixy eyeshadow.. I mean i really hate the packaging..
So cheap looking, cheap plastic and sponge..
But i’ve gotta say, their eyeshadow is awesome.. So buttery, smooth, VERY pigmented..
I mean, even urban decay naked feels hard and not pigmented enough when you try these shadow.

I’ve been searching for that “perfect” dupe for this eyeshadow (PIXY Colors of Delight EYESHADES – 02)
But i still haven’t find it yet..
So far i reached some major japanese, korean, us brand, and kinda disappointed, despise their incredible cute chic packaging and color range..
But i gotta say, pixy eyeshadow won over them.. And the price too (around US$2 for 2 color eyeshadow 2.5gr)

You don’t even have to put any primer, the color is so strong and yet blend able.. And they stay put too.. But of course not waterproof and just little bit creasing..

Too bad they only sell very few shade and “Indonesian” suitable only, but there are few shade that looks good what ever race you are..

They’re recently changed their packaging, now it’s similar to sari ayu’s, but still better than their last packaging.

The blush is very good to, on my very oily skin it’s still there for 4-5 hours.. So smooth, pigmented but sheer like natural flush..

Also their pacts so popular in Indonesia too..
Caring and pixy the most popular powder in Indonesian local brand.. Because their quality is great and they’re very cheap..

Hope hearing your opinion again about Indonesian local brand

    XOXO – Chiyu

  • Sephia

    hiya…

Thank you for this information u share…

IMHO, VIVA eyebrow is the best eye brow ever! 🙂

    xoxo

  • Lina Kim

I didn’t know that PAC is actually reach US! that’s quite an achievement for Indonesian local brand. apart form that, I agree with you about the packaging things, they need to do something about it!lulz, I’ve been living in Indonesia for a long time already. But to be honest, I rarely try them. >.<

  • feve

    hi muse,

my friend used to work at PAC and she told me that they use Chanel Foundation for the ad shoot. I’ve only tried their powder which was powdery and cakey, and the special edition eyeshadow palette are chalky, no pigmentation. May be check out MAKE OVER, it’s a new Indonesian brand, I’ve tried their eyeshadow, good quality. I can not find their website though

    🙂 xx

  • Shelley

Hai muse! wow i don’t know that you can find Indonesian Brand in US..i’m from Indonesia, by the way

well actually Mirabella, Caring Color, Sari Ayu, and PAC are from the same company Puspita Martha (a.k.a Martha Tilaar) and they have their own ‘target’ so the cheapest *which is mirabella* have super odd packaging, caring color *which the target is teenager* have quite cute pink packaging, but for sari ayu, they always have limited edition line that have pretty packaging that represent indonesia, and PAC target is Make Up Artist, which is why they have boring black packaging.

i am a make up artist *and make up junkie*. for me, Sari Ayu and PAC have the same quality. Sari Ayu eyeshadow have better pigmentation than Urban Decay, MAC, and else

however, there’s a new Indonesia Make Up Brand called Make Over, and it extremely good for the price (have a same price range with PAC). their foundation is great. their pencil eyeliner is the best!! better than Urban Decay Slide On pencil! and their eyeshadow is pigmented as hell! their black eyeshadow makes MAC Carbon looks like a joke..

You should try Make Over. i think they are the best Indonesian Make Up Brand that i ever tried. and also the packaging is very profesional looking with sleek black packaging, but better than PAC’s odd black packaging…

Btw, Indonesia is not a moslem country and we are very open to another culture.

    love ya, Shelley

    *pardon for my bad english*

Hey there! I was searching for some PAC lipstick reviews when I found this, and I can say I was kinda shocked. never thought you’d made a review on Indonesian brands :p

Anw, these Indonesian brands actually have their own “specialty”, as in Viva has the so-called by most Indonesian women (old and young) “the best eyebrow pencil ever”, it’s less than US$2 but has great quality.

I’m recently eyeing PAC glossy lipstick, it’s really buttery, goes smoothly and doesn’t make your lips dry. but yes, they have only few colors to pick. it’s US$10, not that cheap, but some stores bring them on 10-20% sales.

LT Pro (which is the professional make-up line of La Tulipe) also has good quality makeup. Some of my friends asked for a good and affordable eyeliner pencil, and i love to recommend LT Pro’s eyeliner pencil, for the color and the price (US$6).

Sariayu, PAC and LT Pro have great eyeshadows, I can say. they’re pigmented, sometimes you dont even have to wear primer to get the intensity, have nice selection of colors (nude to bold ones), and affordable too.

after all, I’ve never tried the foundations or powders of Indonesian brands, bc I don’t think they are that good. haha.. but I can recommend products I have mentioned earlier, they worth every single penny you spend. and I never really checked Make Over, but since some ladies gave good reviews, maybe I will later. 😀

thanks so much for the recommendations vee ;-D It’s been a while since I tried anything from PAC but def want to re-explore the brand!

    Hi Muse
I was browsing for Indonesia local make up brands and found this post! Awesome! I love PAC. I use the cream foundation for formal occassions. Sari Ayu is like the drugstore brand, while PAC is the high end. They are from same company.

    @Shelley,
I bought several items from Make Over last week. I will try them and post my review in my blog.

Hi Muse, glad to know that you made this post for Indonesian brand. Reading from the first to last comment I would like to suggest you some other high quality brands aside from PAC, like many others said, they are LT PRO and Make Over. Along with PAC, they are considered as the local high quality products targeting on Make Up Artist and always be used for pre-wedding, wedding, fashion show, or any big events make up. Make Over is the one I’m in love with. Even they’re just established by 2009, but hey, see the quality. Sometimes, Muse, quality doesn’t mean a price and a price doesn’t mean quality. So if you have some time to visit Indonesia, try them out! I bet you’ll get the more experiences in drowning directly into the source.

    Salam dan terima kasih.
    (Greetings and Thank you.)

Have you ever try Wardah? It’s really good make up. And Make Over too. I’ve tried and i think that 2 products above are the best indonesian make up for me. Make Over is the sister brand of Wardah. And have a good content the packaging is good enough.
