Another week, another round up of new concealers for you! I’ve slowly been reviewing a concealer a day for the past week in keeping with my introduction article to Good, Bad, and Great Concealers and so far I’ve done reviews on good ones, a bad one, and some cheaper options! This week I’m going to try to focus on great concealers! Excited? Me too!
I’m really excited about today’s review because it’s a waterproof option that I feel extra confident recommending to all my lovely readers in Singapore (or those of you in similarly humid climates). I recently went on vacation and I reached for Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealer to tote along with me because I know it would suffer through the humidity, the heat, and the blazing sun and come out none the worst for wear.
Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealer promise of waterproof coverage is a promise kept. This concealer is my concealer of choice when I want my eyes to appear awake, refreshed, and dark circle free for long periods of time. It stays where you put it all day long until you’re ready to remove it which means it can suffer wonderfully well under hot humidity, heat, and if you so choose, a day at the beach or pool!
The formula is liquid and quite moisturizing. Although it comes in a liquid formula it’s quite dense so blending is simple without the mess. Pigmentation is wonderful and a little product goes a long way.
I have one minor rant about Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealer and that would be the color. I have the lightest shade available and it still seems too dark for me and contains shades of beige which for me are extremely unflattering under the eye area. However, once blended well it does work out well and covers up my dark circles and any baggage I’m sporting.
Aside from my minor rant all else is wonderful on this front. The concealer wears long, doesn’t crease, fade, or cake under my eye nor does it dry my eye area out plus the formula is pure perfection for blending. What more could a girl want?
The price tag is hefty at $27.50 USD however since it promises waterproof coverage and delivers I’d say that isn’t too bad a price to pay!
This one gets a Muse Approval for purchase. The Muse likey and approves of products that promise and deliver! It’s not my holy grail concealer but it’s definately a runner up!
Have you tried Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealer?

Sometimes the Muse is lazy.
On the lazy days when it’s just too much effort to go through the process and hassle of removing makeup using a ton of different products I like to reach for a quick wipe to just remove it all in one shot.
Biore makes some rather great wipes to remove all your make up in one go and of course MAC does a version that’s absolutely awesome!
But I’m guilty of adoring the kawaii in products and neither MAC nor Biore has the cute factor going on!
Soooooooooo I found a cute face wipe to remove all my makeup (even waterproof mascara!) in one go!
Meet Eyeko Face Off Wipes:
At £5.00 for 20 wipes I’m saying you’ll be sporting both a cute way to get it all off simply and quickly! Likey!
Sorry but sometimes the cute factor wins!
At £5.00 for 20 this isn’t the cheapest option you have available but I do find it’s a rather cute way to sport your face wipe around! Traveling with these is ultra nice as they are each individually wrapped which can’t be said for most removers which come in a larger container.
Each wipe is pre-soaked with a cleaning solution that contains Vitamin E and other good for you ingredients. The wipes are extra large so one should do your entire face plus they work extra well at removing waterproof mascara in a hurry however some rubbing is required which is why these are good for quick removal and not recommended for daily use (who wants to be rubbing their eye area daily to remove makeup right?).
Ewwwwww! After use!
For travel, quick and simple makeup removal, or just lazy days Eyeko Face Off Wipes get a Muse Approval for purchase. Cute, simple, quick, easy, and awesome for travel make these a must have for the Muse!

The Muse highly recommends stopping by both as each has a different line up of products to enjoy!

Two of my favorite designers, Viktor & Rolf, have teamed up with Shu Uemura to design three amazing lash designs for the Tokyo Lash Bar this year.
The Couture Collection makes the Muse simply quiver in delight while drool drips from her mouth!
Have you seen these lashes?
Is it terrible to admit that I want to buy at least two pairs just because they are so stunning!?
Each lash set is encased in a gorgeous white box complete with a masquerade eye mask and costs $95 USD.
I can’t think of a more wicked and indulgence purchase than these.
At first I had two sets in my cart but I’ve since decided that I should show some control and just purchase one! Now it’s all about firguring out which pair to buy!
It’s a toss up between the Wing and Swirl versions….I’m thinking the Swirl is very Muse-like!
Ugh having such a hard time not buying both! Ahhhhhh!
And yes, before you say it, these are an utterly extravagant, spoiled, and self-indulged purchase! But the Muse has decided she deserves it and no one can change her mind!
Expect ridiculous amounts of pictures soon and possible…if I’m so inclined…a Face of the Day sporting these…it’ll have to be a special occasion…hmm…New Year’s? My Birthday? Just because?
Stay tuned! Can’t wait? Check out Erika’s haul at Makeup Bag!
For now I leave you with promo pictures:
Gagging for these?

I’ve been thinking about it really hard I think Josie Maran must know alot about cosmetics after being Maybelline’s promo model for so long. It’s probably pretty fitting that she now has her own line of cosmetics available from Sephora than dontcha think?
I admit I’m tempted.
Her new line isn’t only quite nice to look at but it’s also organic. The line contains botanical ingredients and sports recyclable and biodegradable packaging. Go Josie Go!
I think I’ll be picking up a few items for review shortly as I’m totally digging the packaging and the looks of everything!
