Reader’s Request: Kevin Aucion The Sensual Skin Enhancer FOTD

As requested after my review of Kevin Aucion The Sensual Skin Enhancer here’s a Face of the Day using it.

I have nothing on my face aside from some mark Glossblossom since my lips are busy being chapped yak!

As stated in my review a little goes a very long way. I used the product as both a skin prep and a concealer for under my eyes.

This is the amount I used on my total face including under my eyes!

And this is what I came up with….no blush, no eye makeup, no mascara, concealer, or anything else. As you can see the product does a great job of making my face look fresh and my dull spots have disappeared!

I have very little to conceal on my face as my skin doesn’t have large pores, acne, or anything else however I do sport dull spots which drive me bats thus The Sensual Skin Enhancer creates a beautifully fresh look, erasing my dull spots, and prepping my face for the rest of my makeup!

I also happened to take this picture without using flash so you can get a better look at how the product works.

Thank you, the Muse! You have marvelous skin! No large pores, no acne, no scars? Wonderful! I’m jealous!

You look so radiant there sister! You truly don’t need a lot of makeup.

  • the Muse

    hiya dao!!!!!!!

    How’s your Monday treating you!?

thankfully not. I’m a bit too old for acne 🙂 aside from small breakouts on my forehead where I tend to get oily in the summer. No large pores at all and no scares.

I do have fine lines and puffiness around the eyes I have to conceal 😉

but aside from that no probs. And of course rather dull skin lately so I need blush to make me look healthy 🙂

Aw shucks thanks. It’s the makeup that’s doing it not me 🙂

  • Critty

Muse – You are gorg!!! I can’t believe this is a “no makeup” look!! I am going to be checking out this product and hop I look 1/8th as good as you!

I look half dead and asleep lol but thanks!

OH MY! LOL! I was worried my dark circles were showing and I looked like I had 4 hours of sleep and had a migraine hehe…thus the droop in my eyes!

    hehe!

    Thanks honey!

Sadly, I too am an SSE 05. I bought 06 this weekend against the wishes of the salesgirl, and now I’m kicking myself for it. SSE 06 is just too damn yellow and doesn’t blend in as well.

  • petitez

Wow! You look great with no foundation on!

Looking forward to your reviews on concealers! I’m still looking for my holy grail too…..

  • the Muse

    hey mizz mandy 🙂

You already have 05 right? Mix them together maybe?! Or return the 06 and grab the 05! Where’d ya buy it?

    Sephora will happily return it!

    😉

  • the Muse

    hey serene!

Oh the KA works as a foundation so that’s my coverage in the pic 🙂

I am too but I’ve tried so many I thought it was a good time for a round up post 😉 hopefully one will grab you 😉

    Hugs!

Yo Izzy, u look very fresh faced here! 🙂 Me thinks u are too modest and too harsh on yourself!

I have worst dark eye circles and fine lines. I aren’t imaging those fine lines. The fine lines and dark circles are result of my sinus problem, turning in late and my bad habbit of rubbing my eyes 🙁
It adds like 5 years more on me :'(

I’m using L’Occitane Immortale eye cream and it’s really working on my dehydrated and fine-lined eyes! It does help a little on my dark circles. U should try this! 🙂

Btw, did u receive my E-mail?

  • Karelessly in Love

I’m curious. With so little product, how do you get to use it for your whole face? By mixing it with moisturizer?

  • the Muse

    hi gracie!

Aw shucks thanks. It’s truly the makeup though 🙂 Gives me an awake fresh look!

Fine lines, puffiness, and other stuff def disappears with good sleep. I get super fine lines, major puffy eyes, and dark circles from doing to bed 2-3 am and waking up at 5:30 am! It’s ridiculous! When I head in and get 7-8 hours my eyes look so much better for it 🙂

I can totally relate as I do all those things but it’s curable with good sleep and proper care 😉

Haven’t tried that one. Will do! We have an outlet here prob cheap as chips 😉

probably?! but my inbox is a tornado! If so I’ll read and get back to you shortly 😉

    Forgive my delay!

  • the Muse

    hiya Karelessly in Love!

I don’t use alot of foundation which accounts for how I got so much coverage. I applied a tiny dab under my eyes and to the sides of my nose and blended out that was all. If you require alot of foundation you can mix with lotion or apply as is. I only apply foundation to certain areas of my face and that’s prob why I used so little to get good coverage if that makes sense 🙂

  • makeupmag

I LOVE this look. So beautiful and fresh, Iz! Your brows look amazing here, as do your cheeks and eyes. 🙂

Thanks for this one Muse–I’ve been looking wistfully at the KA SSE ever since I tested a bit on my hand. So expensive though! Still, if it works that well it’s not a bad investment.

Have you tested his mousse foundation yet?

On the eyes–for puffiness, there’s nothing like Caudalie eye cream which you can use ON the lid and under and is super gentle and took away so much puffiness I found eye contours I’ve never seen in my life. LUST. Awfully expensive but you can snag a full size worth $53 in the Caudalie Must Have set for $68 which a bunch of other goodies and a nice silver bag. If you buy from Caudalie directly today I think there’s 20% off and always free shipping and a free set of samples to pick from (worth about $20 alone and you can pick the skintype).

No blaming me if you get addicted though 😉

    • the Muse

      hey rose!

Very expensive but very worth it! Last ages dear 😀 You can always wait for sephora FF again next year and get 20% off 😀 I haven’t tested out the mousse foundation but have wanted too!

OMG really? might I ask how old you are? As sometimes girl’s in their 20’s will rec me creams for puff but I’m far from 20 and they normally don’t work. This sounds incredible. Going to buy, depending on your age that is 😀 hehe! Thanks dear!!!!!!!!

  • Reader

Thanks. I’ll watch for offers, maybe you’ll test his mousse version by the next ff 🙂

37 and I’m not at all an eye cream user. I swear I tested this stuff from a sample and turned around and looked back and my eyes looked better than I’ve ever seen them. I just thought I had horribly thick lids but they’ve just always been a bit puffy. Even better, since I started using it my short eyelashes seem so much longer. Not sure if it’s the fact that the base of the lashes is getting nourished or better circulation or just the puffiness isn’t covering them up but I’m just happy they’re longer. Plus the set is a deal and the rest of the add ons are great too–the nightcream feels delish (spritz with the grape water just before you apply and it feels amazing). It’s even all natural. If you get it let me know how you like 🙂

    • the Muse

      hi rose

Oh I’m so relieved to hear you are 37. Honestly, I’ve never had success with anything that a 20 something has rec’ed me. I wish I was 20 again and able to use clinique all about the eyes haha but that stuff is just NOT strong enough 😀 everyone recs that to me but honestly it does nothing! I’ll def get the set as with the 20% off I get a full size eye cream it seems .5oz so might as well get the extras with it since the eye cream alone is $$$ the 20% off totally made my day 😀 thanks so much for the recs! Totally trying it and will let you know 😀

haha perhaps…I’m kinda a BB cream girl so I rarely buy foundation outside of BB cream lately. It’s hard to adjust to using regular foundation again!

  • Reader

    don’t know bb cream

everything in the must have set is great except I don’t really use the lipbalm but I’m more of a gloss/lipstick wearer and already had a couple from their other sets. i think it’s better for people with really dry lips so I’m waiting for cold season for it. I grabbed it on 20% off too–made the whole set irresistable. the bag is very cute. the beauty elixir is the best thing I’ve ever set my foundation with. the cleanser is nice (not for heavy makeup but nice for a morning freshen up). the grape water is very hydrating and cooling so year round winner. and the night cream is .34 oz of their $68/oz moisturizer and very hydrating so I’ve been saving for winter

PS– Mango melange is the BEST carol’s daughter scent sooo yummy. I love the bath and body oil in the tub or on slightly damp skin. I’m all antsy waiting on my korres haul–that GWP may mean I should go to the door with a forklift but I had to have the thyme honey and buy the rose set for my daughter to match her middle name (if I win the giveaway it’s MINE!!! I picked up the guava little set because I had to try at least one lip butter after your reviews and ty for the code I used muse to get the never too many set…and cyber monday was the bodycare blockbuster because yogurt is the best butter…and umm…)

    Hi Muse,

Wow. You looked flawless w/ this FOTD. I’m light skin Asian. Usually I wear the lightest or 2nd lightest of foundation shade. I tested this in SX2 and it’s too light for me (got a sample). But SX5 look so dark in the pot. Do you think i should get SX5?

    • the Muse

sx5 is way dark betty…I dunno your exact skin tone so def hard for me to suggest any, plus I kinda stink at selecting shades for anyone but myself. Perhaps head in store and swatch a little? If you have the $$ buying two shades might help as well, mix them to get the right shade 😀

  • Laura

Whenever I see that mini picture of your finger while I’m looking at other posts it reminds me of E.T. Great review, I wish I knew what color I was, I’d hate to take the risk with that hefty price tag.

  • Makeuploverxo

Hi muse:) I know you like yOur foundation to be pale because you like being fair skinned and I like that as well. I am a light tan complexion most of the year but in the summer I get very tan and I don’t like the way it makes my skin look. Please help do you have any recomendations??
