To wrap up the week today I’ll be reviewing the Harajuku Lovers Fragrance G which is my very favorite scent from the collection!

Never one to get lost in the crowd, G leads her crew in a white, corseted top and a blue miniskirt la Alice in Wonderland. Quirky, unique, and undeniably cool, G is the leader of the pack. Her scent is an oriental, fruity, gourmand fragrance with notes of fresh coconut, jasmine, and cotton woods.

Although G has some sincerely amazing notes like Mandarin, Jasmine Sambac, Sandalwood and Coconut. Personally the Muse gets toasty coconut as the most dominant note so toasty in fact that she wants to roll around in it! The scent is quite tropical and gorgeous! It’s a creamy coconut blend with hints of jasmine and floral. Although the coconut is the most dominant note you can get certain whiffs of unique, exotic secondary notes like the jasmine and sandalwood. It’s really a rather warm fragrance that makes me think of the warm, humid Summer! G is on top of my favorite list so I love anything that has tropical aspects to it. I recommend G if you like your blends warm and fun.

I’m kinda sad to end these posts as I was having so much fun reviewing them! I hope that Gwen will introduce us to a brand new lot of fragrances really soon as I totally adored all of the Harajuku Lovers Fragrances and each girl had something unique and special to offer! All the scents are Muse Approved for purchase! You should def check ’em out for yourself!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

    dear, dear miss Muse,

I know I can never own this set (I’m from Asia so I am not qualified for the contest), but I wanted to use this as a chance to THANK YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH. I was in Harajuku, in Tokyo, in fact, about three weeks ago and was only there for a week. Thanks to your lovely site and the many other reading resources I discovered through totally plundering your Japanese cosmetics posts, I was able to load up on make-up I really love and now can’t live without (such as the super cheap Heavy Rotation enamel glosses I picked up that have a brush attached to them – they are a bit on the nude-pale side, but are thick and a little opaque and so professional looking, like the type you’d see on a magazine model haha I’d recommend it to you if only there were pinker ones as I noticed you prefer sweet pink shades…)! It wasn’t just your recommendations but your overall energy and love that came with each post about Japanese cosmetics that really pushed me to want to upgrade my make-up range. I have a new look thanks to the many new (and wow they are so cheap for the quality) make-up items I picked up.

I wanted to write you a personal e-mail (I even have some pics of some mekku items) to thank you but I think I’d rather post it here to shout out to everyone how grateful I am. Great site and great attitude!!! All your posts were just so enjoyable – written by a sweet person, no doubt! I felt warm and fuzzy reading some of the posts, and they made my Japan trip so much better. On my first few trips to Japan I focused more on electronics and being a total Japan-lover targetted cakes and pudding and bento, office supplies, toys… thanks to you I suddenly realized, oh my stupid me, I wear make-up everyday what am I doing not stocking up on these Japanese goodies!

Anyway I did not haul a whole lot of items (not a “collection type”), more like Japanese versions of products I used plus some back-ups. I wish I saw your Harajuku Lovers perfume post then as I would have grabbed it for sure – it’s not available here or will likely ever be *sob* I’ll never own it but I’m happy I was able to see your reviews ^_^ They are adorable and I think I sometimes dress -up with that those kind of looks in mind haha. Please keep up the great work!!! If it’s okay I’d like to keep posting here once in a while, mostly about Japanese items though! Thank you, with all my heart!

    much love,
an avid reader who now checks your site 3 times a day

everyone i’ve talked to likes G the best. i’m really not a fan of any of them….i think their major pull is the bottle. i wanted them to be edgier, i think. i agree they are fun, in a high school kinda way…..

  • kae

i think she’s a cute doll 🙂 i was gonna take a pic of that inside flap of the box too but i got lazy lol.

  • the Muse

    hi kelsey!

Exactly 🙂 It smells kinda toasty to me 🙂

LOL 🙂 hit them all up maybe you’ll get 10 bottles 🙂 Score!

    Thanks for the comment!
    Hugs!

    hi there cherrysoftness!

How are you!? I was so excited to see your lovely comment 🙂

I’m so sorry the contest wasn’t open Worldwide 🙁 but my next one will be promise 🙂

I’m so incredibly excited that you hauled so much makeup :-)!!!!!!
Those glosses sound amazing but you are very observant as I do love pinks 🙂 hehe!

I have a sincere passion for Asian cosmetics, particularly Japanese 🙂 and I’m so glad that you can see that expressed in my posts!

I’m always shocked and delighted at how amazing the cosmetics are and the amazing price!

Aww you’re so making me blush Hugs!!!!!!

I must admit that I’m guilty of office supplies, bento, stationary, etc..when I was in Japan that really caught my interest and attention but cosmetics are def something that are equally great 🙂

Where are you from cherry? Curious!

LOL I think I sometimes dress that way in mind too 🙂 doll-like 🙂

I’d LOVE it of you posted comments here! I’d enjoy talking and getting to know you 🙂 Thank you so so so so so so much for the fabulous comment!

Big Hugs! Enjoy your haul of makeup!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hey there snb-the glamourista!

I think G is uber popular b/c of the tropical blend 🙂

I admit that the pull and attraction would be mainly the bottle..however I did enjoy the scents as well but I understand what you mean about the edge..I think she went with more sweet than edge on these!

I think her idea was to appeal to Asians…Asians are very interested in the kawaii aspect of marketing and that’s where these come into play big time 🙂

  • the Muse

    hi Anonymous!

Umm I reveiewed them all…Love, Angel, Music, Baby and G…which was it you didn’t see and wanted reviewed??? As far as I know that’s all of ’em!

  • the Muse

    hi kae!

LOL I know what you mean about being lazy…I try to take major pics of everything but sometimes I’m like ughhhhhhhhh 🙂

Your daughter really made the post btw 🙂 what a cutie! I wanna babysit hehe!

I didn’t see Lil Angel… I looked for it, but I might have been mistake? Sorry if I was!

    Love the site!

  • Quita

‘G’ is definitely my favourite as well and I went out and bought it the other day. Look out world, I smell like awesome! 😀

  • Kendra

Hey Muse, I bought this a few days ago, and I absolutely LOVE the scent. I was wondering if you knew any body moisturizers and shower gels that would layer well scent-wise with the perfume?

    • the Muse

hey kendra isn’t it gorg? I can’t say I know of a good lotion that smells of it but I highly recommend etailer shops…get a custom blend of some sort of tropical coconut scent to layer with it 😀 bet it’ll smell d-lish!
