Lush Chocolate Santa Review

The Muse’s entourage of English friends have always tried to convert her to the glories of the chocolate orange but the Muse safely steers clear of anything that combines chocolate with fruit….yak…..no likey. Some things go together well but the Muse thinks chocolate and fruit are NOT a marriage most divine.

In the case of the glorious Orange Chocolate the Muse refuses to partake and believes that Terry is actually an alias for the devil because the only place an orange chocolate could come from would be hell.

All yur chocolate oranges belongz to me! *insert evil laugh here*

Even though the Muse hates Orange Chocolate she knew she must put away her keen dislike for the evil that be and test out the new Lush Chocolate Santa Bath Bomb. So the Muse struck up some Captain Jack and decided to climb into her bath tub!

No, not this kind either (although my bath tub is always welcome to the likes of this Captain Jack)

The Muse needed liquid courage to face a bath tub full of Chocolate Orange and since she doesn’t drink the only other option was vintage Billy.

Turns out Lush Chocolate Santa was a rather relaxing, calming experience and although eating chocolate oranges is off this Muse’s list she actually won’t mind purchasing a few Lush Chocolate Santas to fill her bath with! Although Chocolate Santa doesn’t have a very strong, lingering smell like many Lush Bath Bombs I still managed to enjoy my bath with him and recommend grabbing a few for stocking stuffers and of course to spoil yourself with!

I’m not going to go into great detail how a Bath Bomb works since I’ve done so before but just in case anyone doesn’t know here’s a quickie How To from the friendly folks at Lush:

Now as I mentioned Chocolate Santa doesn’t have a very strong smell which could account for why I liked him so much. He smells like a sparkling mimosa with tiny bits of chocolate thrown in and a faint, soft underlay of vanilla. He fizzes happily away as you bath, softening your water and skin while leaving your hair and body softly scented with a citrus chocolate blend that’s very pleasant.

Lush Chocolate Santa sizzling away happily in the Muse’s bath tub! (Apologies the lighting was really low in my bathroom when I recorded)

Lush Chocolate Santa is shaped, yes you guessed it, like that rolly polly, pink cheeked guy we all know and love, Santa!! Lush was really intricate about the details on this bomb as their Chocolate Santa has his famous suit, boots, belt, and bag of treats for good little Muses!

Lush Chocolate Santa is available for a very limited time so best snatch one up before he’s gone for good! I’m actually headed over to Lush UK right now to order 20 of these little guys to stash away in friends and family member’s stockings and of course a few more for myself as it turns out Lush Chocolate Santa isn’t evil like Terry’s Chocolate Orange! Lush Chocolate Santa is available now for $6.95 USD! Click to grab yours!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Izzy, I hate the chocolate orange too!

I sometimes like chocolate covered cherries or raspberries, or strawberries with chocolate, and always mint chocolate, but NEVER orange with chocolate!

That being said, bath bombs are sooo nice!

  • the Muse

amen! someone else who hates ’em!!!!!!

Chocolate covered strawberries are do-able for me but anything else I’m kinda meh on! Orange and Chocolate makes me GAG!!!!!

Bath bombs are the awesome 🙂

    *hugs*

  • emma

Omg Terry’s chocolate orange is so tasty!! I buy my dad one every year for Xmas and then every year I scoff it before it even gets wrapped up. Chocolate is not safe near me.

  • Laura

I HATE chocolate orange with a firey passion.
And yet I end up with a crap load of them at Christmas!

I’m so sad I’m allergic to all things lush. So damn sad.
I think you should make double purchases of everything and enjoy on my behalf 😉

  • the Muse

i hear you laura I hear you!

A majority of my English friends send them over by the box full with christmas pressies…too gross 😛 ugh! Gag!

LOL..but of course..what a perfect excuse to buy more Lush 😉

  • Southern Angel

I totally love a chocolate orange!I stay away from the other varieties of chocolate fruit but now I am craving chocolate orange. 🙁

Also on the sad side, I only have a shower, not a tub so no lush bomb fun for me. 🙁

  • the Muse

oh noooo it’s evil southern angel lol 🙂

Aww that stinks 🙁 they do have shower bath bombs but I’m not a big big fan of those 😛

  • makeupmag

Love orange+choc BUT it has to be paired with milk choc for me…super hard to find…they like to put it with dark choc. ARGH!!

  • Dancinggal

    Hmmmm, chocolate (drool). Lol.

BTW, my skin is pretty crazy, it needs moisture, but breaks out too, so I guess I need something that gives moisture, but won’t clog pores. Would LOVE your advice on a Lush moisturiser to use as a night cream. Your the best!!!

  • the Muse

    lol dancingall 🙂

Aww darlin’ 🙁 sensitive skin stinks! are you very dry as in flaky dry or just normal dry?

Give me more info about your skin and I can rec you something 🙂

  • Dancinggal

I guess I would be normal dry. Like, I don’t flake or anything, but my skin does need some moisture. Sensitive (and annoying) probably describes it best. I use Becca Luminous Skin Colour during the day as my only moisturiser (and foundation) and its all I need, but I want something a little heavier for night. Also, I use Aquamarine cleanser (LUSH) most of the time, and occasionally AOBS to exfoliate or when I’m greasy. Right now I’m using Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser, which is ok because it doesn’t break me out, but I probably need something a little heavier for night.

Does any of this help? Lol, I’ve written you an essay!

  • the Muse

oops did you get my reply to this in the other post dancinggal?

It’s very helpful 🙂 I rec’ed three moisturizers let me know if you got the reply..I’m a bit of a scatterbrain today!

    😉
