Musings of the Day: The Makeup Bag

This actually isn’t as hard a question as I thought it would be when I was originally writing it out…Jump ahead to read why!

When I first asked myself What was the most important thing in my makeup bag? I started to panic! How could I just pick one thing? But than I realized, wait a sec, I don’t carry a slew of cosmetics with me in my bag anyway so what am I so worried about?

If I had to pick thing it would be cheek stain. It’s completely multitasking so I can give a hint of color to my cheeks and lips and at the very least I look healthy and fresh so it’s probably the most important item in my bag. Although my makeup doesn’t last all day, my skin is very clear so I don’t need to keep touching up with powder or foundation. I chew my gloss off almost an hour after it’s on so it’s important to keep one stashed away but I find that once it’s off I get too busy to actually reapply so unless I am going out after work I don’t retouch it. I carry a compact mirror but that’s honestly available anywhere…in my car, in a bathroom, etc..where can’t you find a mirror nowadays right?

So stain it is 😉 Works on my cheeks and lips and makes me go from dull to lovely!

How about you? What’s the most important thing in your makeup bag?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.
