Product Musings: MAC Pigment Kitschmas

The Muse likes to think it was kismet when she met up with Kitschmas.

MAC Pigment in Kitschmas is one of my first and favorite pigments! The Muse adores the soft lilac color and loves how it lends a certain frosty feel to her lids!

If you favor light shades of purple or just purple in general this is well worth picking up. The formula is one of the flakier pigments from MAC which in turn gives it a nice hint of shimmer. Use it by itself or pair it up with a darker purple for a gorgeous contrasting eye look!

Do you own MAC Kitschmas?

What do you use it with?

Is it a fav of yours?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Sorry to differ but I HATE Kitschmas. The color is lovely in the jar but when I apply it, it’s horrid. It doesn’t lay down a pretty layer of color like some of my fave piggies–Vanilla, Subtle, Coco, Sunnydaze, Deckchair, Shimmertime, Vintage Gold, Blonde’s Gold and several others–it just gives me just a slight layer of flakey lilac shimmer that is very sheer and also gives fallout even though I am very careful about fallout and usually don’t have a problem with it. Anyway I really would love it if Mac would come out with a light purple that has some substance to it. Lovely Lily doesn’t deliver and neither does the newer Milk. So my search will go on for light purple pigment that has both beautiful color AND application. I love to read about pigments–good or bad– though so thank you for your review of Kitschmas !!!

      hey marie.

ugh agreed kitshmas is def fall out city drama 😀 I love the shade as it’s so soft and lovely but the fall out is obscene……I didn’t haul milk which I regret hopefully can find it elsewhere. I imagine many mineral companies online could fulfill your need for a softer lilac shade of piggie 😀

My pleasure! Glad you took a sec to comment love hearing what readers think!

you may want to check out Barry M Dazzledusts.
I am pretty sure they have lilac shades.

It is my favorite pigment – very affordable and G-R-E-A-T!

I have a total love/hate relationship with Kitschmas. I love it in the jar and once I finally get it on, but applying it makes me rather sad. When I do wear it though, I use it on the lid with Fuschia pigment in the outer v and crease. Oddly enough, I never thought to pair it with a purple.
