Dianne Brill Freshwater Pearl Blush Review

I can’t believe the overwhelming amount of e-mail I’ve gotten since doing my first Dianne Brill review. Everyone got super hyped and excited about the prospect of more reviews! Have no fear the Muse is here with a new Dianne Brill review just for you!

Today I’m reviewing Dianne Brill Freshwater Pearl Blush and the Muse happens to think it makes her glow!

Dianne Brill Freshwater Pearl Blush manages to multitask as a both a gorgeous blush and a highlighter all in one cute compact. Gotta love one product that performs two separate functions!

Freshwater Pearl Blush comes housed in a tiny silver compact which sports a lace design that quite reminds me of the long gone, most beloved Pout cosmetics collection. The blush is a tiny size and not a full size compact but the pigmentation more than makes up for it’s small size.

It’s only available in five color options and for once I’m quite alright with the lack of variety. For some reason the Muse has taken a stance on simplifying things lately so I generally like the idea of not being presented with all the colors in the rainbow and some colors that I’ve never even heard of. Five color selections cover all the basic shades I might need so this indeed is a plus for me.

The color I tried out was Rose Gold Pearl which truly lives up to it’s name as it has a strong base highlight of iridescent gold that pairs up beautifully with the rose pink. The blush works by flattering your cheeks with a color contour effect and a dual tone shimmer. The finished result is a softly highlighted blushing cheek. Rose Gold Pearl quite reminds me of NARS Orgasm but in a strong rose color. If you’ve used NARS Orgasm you’re probably familiar with the highlighted effect it gives to cheeks, Dianne Brill Freshwater Pearl Blush gives the same effect which casts a certain light and glow onto the face. The blush offers the ability to color your cheeks with a beautiful shade and highlight them with a touch of iridescent shimmer all in one simple swipe of your brush! The powder is silky smooth, blends well, and is nicely pigmented.

All in all I thought the effects of the blush were quite beautiful. It left my face glowing and looking quite pretty and prepared for the Spring weather ahead. I’ll definitely indulge in further shades. Quite loving Dianne Brill Freshwater Pearl Blush!
