Nuts Cream Perfume Review

There’s something terribly darling about perfume solids that come packaged in a nut…

The Cream Perfume Company looks to nature to create it’s unique organic line of cream perfumes. Each tiny perfume solid is packaged in a environmentally friendly Canadian birch jar that looks like half of an acorn shell! Genius packaging the Muse thinks.

Unlike many mass-produced perfumes that contain large quantities of ethanol and water, The Cream Perfume Company makes a highly hydrating product that’s made up of 20% parfum blend, 63% moisturizing sweet almond oil, and 15% beeswax. All these ingredients come together to create a beautiful green friendly perfume that’s portable, travel friendly, long wearing, and most important, sweet!

Although the Muse isn’t a fan of perfume solids she must say that she thought these were terribly adorable and well worth checking out as the scent morphs and wears very well. For some unknown reason I was thinking these were creams when I first seen them advertised on Sephora but when I got my shipment I was quite relieved that they were a solid perfume as the idea of a cream didn’t sound like it would hold fragrance well.

Although they are a solid perfume it doesn’t stop the formula from being quite moisturizing and fast absorbing onto skin. I did fear my skin would suck the fragrance up completely and I’d be left with little to no throw but surprised am I that a few dabs here and there lasts for hours on end. The scents are unique in that they morph and become stronger as your body temperature rises, this also allows the notes in the parfum to become deeper, stronger, or even to separate and create an entirely new scent. For example when I started out wearing Ylang Ylang this morning it was a soft floral but as the day progressed it became more of a sweet candy blend on me! Interesting to say the least.

Nuts Cream Perfume is available in 10 scents that range from flirty florals to sweet fruity blends and beyond. There’s a little something for everyone in the collection and you’re sure to find that perfect scent that’s especially about you.

I tried out Raspberry des champs, Ylang Ylang d’amore, and Mango poudr.

My favorite of the three is unquestionably Mango poudr due to it’s sweet, fruitiness. The notes include mango, cassis, jasmin, candy sugar accord, sandalwood, musk, and vanilla. I don’t get any musk or sandalwood from it but the mango is quite strong and the candy sugar accord obviously adds a twang to the blend as it comes through clearly and makes the mango note twice as intense. It dries down to a wicked fruitiness but the cassis kicks in slightly as well which creates an interesting effect. I think for the most part the sweetness of the blend was my downfall.

Ylang Ylang d’amore was a delightful surprise as I wasn’t sure I’d like it. It’s a mix of ylang ylang, mandarin, jasmine, apricot, cerdarwood, orange flower, patchouli, and musk. Thankfully the patchouli DOES not dominate the blend. It’s quite mysterious and with a strong base of ylang ylang but plenty of the jasmine and cerdarwood come through as well. I wouldn’t call it a floral as it’s too unique for that label. Quite nice and different.

Raspberry des champs is a mixture of raspberry accord and bitter almonds with rosewood, mimosa, rose, and vanilla. Plenty of raspberry in this with hints of rose and vanilla that come out to play as it wears on. I’m not getting the almonds but I get a tiny hint of mimosa. It’s dominate note of raspberry makes it fruity but it’s other notes make it unique.

Each blend lasted quite a few hours and you may get through an entire day using these depending on your body chemistry. For me I get about 4-5 hours of wear before I touch up a bit with a dab here and there. I place a bit on my wrists, behind my knees, on my the back of my neck, behind my ears, etc…..The scent does linger quite nicely and has a decent throw, enough so that your friends or colleagues will ask what you’re wearing. I’m particularly loving these for the travel value as airlines are so terribly strict lately! Pop a few of these in your train case and you’re good for travel plus quite a few of the scents available are wonderfully tropical (good for those getaways to the Caribbean)!

All in all Nuts Cream Perfume are really a cute product and I’ll definately be indulging further in the line. I see Melon d’eau making it’s way into my shopping cart soon! If you’re a lover of organic lines this is by far a wonderfully green friendly product.

Nuts Cream Perfume is a new brand at Sephora and some of the line can be purchased there however I highly recommend going to the source and visiting www.kaponga.com to learn more about the brand and do your purchasing as it has the entire collection available for purchase!

Nuts Cream Perfume are Muse Approved for purchase! The Muse is loving these cute little jars of fragrance.
