Beauty Blast from the Past: Dior Girly Blossom Palette

Wanna take a trip with me into Dior’s past? Let’s go visit with the Dior Girly Blossom Palette release a few Summer’s ago when Dior was still sporting uber sweet packaging and plenty of shimmering, fun shades.

Hopefully you all remember when Dior makeup wasn’t mature, sophisticated, and elegant. Granted it’s always been those things but it also used to be fun, girlish, kawaii, and sweet. I have a huge stash of old Dior palettes that I’ve collected over the year’s one of which reminds me how fun Dior used to be is the Dior Girly Blossom Palette.

Remember this palette?

It contained a gorgeous shimmering peach blush and two fun shades of gloss all housed in a blossom palette with a garter makeup brush holder and two pink retractable brushes for face and cheeks.

Ahhh those were the days.

I haven’t seen anything fun from Dior in a very long time. A majority of their current collections are very mature and sosphiscated actually so much so that they fail to capture my interest as quickly as they once did.

I miss the old days.

Blast me to Dior’s beauty past any day of the week! I’d love to relive some of those great palette days!

What do you think?

Remain with the Muse in Dior’s past?

Embrace Dior’s present and future?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

i love the packaging but i hate the palette which has cream/gloss packed together with powder product…so I never buy those types of palettes..

I love this palette so much and I still have it today. Wish Dior can continue the “girly” line, it has so much potential I just don’t understand why they stopped 🙁

I collected the exquisite Dior compacts back in the day when they were not only fun but leaders of cutting-edge, cosmetic couture, that real people could afford. What happened and can we possibly bring it back? Today it’s still lovely & respectable but more like Lauder than Dior of old. At best my grandma would consider it frumpy or Tom Ford-ish.
Too Faced & Benefit certainly have whimsical products with delightful packaging but it’s not the same. The most recent addition to my formerly Dior display is the Moschimo Bear. It’s cute but nowhere near as cool as Dior. Just lamenting. Thank you,
    Julie

I hear you and feel your pain Julie! It’s not only Dior but many brands who have changed so dramatically in the course of the last six or so years! 🙁
