Beaute Luminous Volume Gloss Review and Swatches

Is it me or do you love to hate sticky, tacky, thick lip glosses? The Muse remembers her first experience with a MAC Lipglass, she was positive it would end up in the trash after seconds of using it. But slowly, ever so slowly it grew on her and so her love affair began with really thick, really sticky, and really tacky lipglosses.

Beaute Luminous Volume Gloss doesn’t disappoint in any of those areas. Plenty of tack, plenty of stick, and a formula thick enough to make the thinnest of lips Angelina Jolie gorgeous.

Available in 12 shades Beaute Luminous Volume Gloss adds plenty of plump to lips with an extra shiny, glossy finish, and plenty of pigmentation that you can use them with (or if you please, without) your favorite lipstick.

As I mentioned above these have plenty of stick and tack which is essential to keeping gloss in place all day long. The wear on these is incredible so you can sip your cuppa, enjoy your lunch, and kiss your boyfriend and the Muse imagines the bulletproof formula will stay in place pretty much after all that and possibly after an atomic bomb goes off.

The formula is extremely thick, very moisturizing, and has plenty of pigmentation to work as a shiny lip cream. Most of the shades are matte and shimmer-less with a nude finish. If you’re a fan of a nude lip look you’ll love the shades I have swatches of.

The gloss is a plumping gloss but not in the classical sense that we are currently privy to on the market today. It doesn’t burn, doesn’t sting, doesn’t have a cinnamon flavor or any flavor at all for that matter. The gloss uses tiny dehydrated marine collagen mirco spheres to create the plumped lip look. You’ll experience none of the normal plumping gloss symptoms, this will simply feel like another gloss on your lips. The lack of burning and stinging will make many of you happy that finally a plumping gloss without the sting!

The glosses are $26 USD each and it could be a tad on the expensive side for some but you do get a rather large size for the price plus a little bit goes a very long way. The applicator is a brush, thank gawd, which I was delighted didn’t split after a few uses or even after the first use like most lip brushes do. They have a trio of glosses available for $65 USD if you become a hardcore fan that could save a few dollars or two. The shades I tried were Medusa (nude pink beige), Girlie Show (pure pale pink), and Chimera (iridescent bronze pink).

All in all Beaute Cosmetics continues to impress me with their interesting collection of cosmetic goodness. I’d love to see them do these with a tiny bit more shimmer. If you’re looking for a gloss with great staying power, a good plumping action, and plenty of pigment you’re bound to love Beaute Luminous Volume Gloss but don’t take the Muse’s word for it check out the raves on MUA.

I am seriously lemming one of their glosses as they remind me of my beloved Creme Anglaise gloss, but their shipping cost for international is insane.
Too bad, or good, depending 😉
