You in the jungle baby! We got fun and games….oh and Smashbox makeup too!
Amp it up with a bit of the jungle this hot Summer with the new Smashbox Untamed Summer Collection. Not your traditional Summer release, Smashbox focuses on a smoky, dramatic look for Summer with olive greens, shimmering brown and beige and combines it with tanned brown skin for pop.
Untamed Lip Gloss for a sexy, fierce bite of color in two shades, Flesh and Raw!
Untamed Creamy Cheek Color adds a hint of healthy glow to cheeks and face!
Untamed Waterproof Shadow Liner Trio contains two contrasting shades of shadow for a dramatic smoked out look with a matching waterproof liner! Available in Savage and Exotic.
And finally Untamed Double-Ended Eye Brightener brightens eyes and adds highlight!
Rawrrrr! Smashbox Untamed is shaping up to be something special. I particularly love the glosses and the trio! Looks like a nice evening out makeup to me and should compliment a tan if you’re into that sort of thing (although we know the Muse is not!).
The Muse has a thing about salon style shampoos and conditioners. After cutting her hair she’s always charmed by the shiny display of hair care. To add insult to injury I’ll have my stylist seducing me with the items she used in my hair after the cut. “You know your hair would really love so and so shampoo…” and of course the Muse feeds into the frenzy and purchases whatever it is she used because my hair is smelling and looking so amazing.
Although I’m a Lush girl at heart I’ve been known to cheat! Recently, I couldn’t help but cheat on my hair care regime with I.C.O.N Haircare. Oops forgive me Lush for I have given over to fresh smelling salon style shampoo and conditioner and loved it!
One of thee most important things (and appealing for that matter) about I.C.O.N. Shampoos and Conditioners are the great formulas. Using pure ingredients makes the products very easy on the hair with minimal build up so your hair is clarified, cleansed, and conditoned minus heavy silicons. Likey! I tested out I.C.O.N. Drench Shampoo and I.C.O.N. Feels Free Conditioner. Each has a beautiful salon style scent that leaves hair fresh and pretty smelling.
Drench is a moisturizing shampoo meant to address hair that needs extra moisture. It hydrates dry, unruly locks and works at protecting it while hydrating.
Feels So Free is a moisturizing conditioner that’s incredibly light weight so it leaves hair hydrated without weighting it done, double likey!
I admit I’m very picky and snotty with my haircare particularly because I’m such a lover of Lush but these were essentially two very nice products for treating my hair without weighting it down which always impresses as normally salon or drugstore brand haircare weights my hair down terribly and stresses it out. These are both very light weight, cleanse hair beautifully, and offer great moisture while giving me a good, solid hair day.
The Muse thinks they are well worth checking out for yourself if you’re in the market for a brand new haircare regime. Not bad at all, likes it!

In one of the largest collections I’ve seen to date from Banila Co, steps in Dear Flower. Banila Co Dear Flower is their late Spring release it appears and just in time too for the lovely weather ahead. Full of pastels and brighter shades of blush and lipstick this collection should appeal to those who like a little pop with softer colors!
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think I’ll avoid this as I’m not feeling the love for pastels anymore. The Muse was loving the Shu Spring Collection and all those pretty girly light shades but at the moment I’m off the pastels.
Banila Co Dear Flower Palette consists of six pastel shades that look lovely enough but as I said far from appealing to this Muse!
Two new blushes that mimic MAC Beauty Powder Blush look very nice although colors do look a bit light and possibly chalky!
Three new lipsticks in the Dear Flower packaging. These are nice darker shades that give a bit of sizzle to contrast nicely with the lighter shades of the palette!
A luminous base adds a bit of a Spring time glow to face and cheeks!
Two brand new marble shadows which are kinda of a rerun. Banila Co is fond of putting our blue and green marble shadows over and over and over again. Very pretty but too much of the same is never a good thing!
Banila Co Dear Flower definitely looks like a nice little stash of goodies for the Spring but nothing attracts me overly much or cheers at me to pick it up so I’m happy sitting here staring at it all from my monitor. I look forward to seeing what Etude House next releases as Korean Collections of late have been a tiny bit boring.
If you are indulging you’ll be happy to know won is still converting beautifully to USD. With the economy slightly on the rise we may see it finally even out shortly but for now you’re getting an incredible deal.
