Shu Uemura Moyoco Anno Cleansing Oil

Moyoco Anno is a Japanese Manga Artist, if you like manga you make recognize her work from serials such as Flowers & Bees and Sugar Sugar Rune. Teaming up with Shu Uemura, Moyoco Anno recently released Shu Cleansing Oil featuring bottles designed by Moyoco Anno herself.

Jump ahead for a peep!

Although Shu’s iconic cleansing oil remains the same, the bottles containing the oil get a sassy update with these limited edition designs.

shu uemura ‘Moyoco Anno Skin Purifier’ High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil

This bottle features vines and heart shaped flower petals and a design of a Tokyo kamon girl.

shu uemura ‘Skin Purifier’ Premium A/O Cleansing Beauty Oil

This bottle features a Japanese pine tree inspired by the deep, austere green of the cleansing oil.

shu uemura ‘Moyoco Anno Skin Purifier – Fresh’ High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil

One of my personal favorite bottles because of it’s pink color this one features a innocent kamon girl with cute cherry blossom-like design. The sweetness and innocence of the pink design are kawaii!

shu uemura ‘Moyoco Anno White Recovery EX+’ Brightening Cleansing Oil

EX is my favorite cleansing oil and features a combination of traditional Japanese designs in purple and green!

shu uemura ‘Moyoco Anno Skin Purifier’ High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil

Lastly this biottle features a mix of monotone checkered patters and a Tokyo kamon girl amidst a spray of energizing orange.

Each bottle is whimsical, sweet and worthy of a peep. I was thinking of picking one or two up and when I’m through with the oil inside I can always refill after repurchasing my normal bottle of cleaning oil from Shu. I can’t help myself I’m a fan of manga and these are too cute to pass up.

Anyone haul?

Love the packaging, super , duper cute!
I want this badly, but it is expensive. I never tried cleansing oil before.
There was a sale at Sephora, but all the Shu Uemura oil I wanted was sold out.
Are there any other brands of oil cleansers that are comparable but cheaper?

hey cookie I always fun shu pretty expensive sigh. I love it but damn expensive. Bobbi Brown and NARS makes one but outside of that you have to shop Asia for it. Check out for very cheap Asian oil cleansers :)

      hi cookie!

my pleasure. I have shopped there before but I can’t really say how reputable it is. I’ve had good luck with orders and such but of course, as with any online shopping, be careful 😀

      Hope this helps!? :)

Well, more than a year late but I bought the enriched version from eBay. I love the design and the formula is the best one. Seriously. Muse, do you happen to know why they don’t sell that formula on the American website anymore? It’s so upsetting.

    • 12/23/10 15:37 the Muse:

mmm not sure ryan but they release it ever so often hun. now that we are heading deeper into winter expect new skincare from shu and a possible re-release of the enriched formula 😀

  • 12/24/10 3:50 Ryan:

I hope so. It’s really HG material. Leaves skin so soft and the scent is duh-vine. Sometimes when I’m really tired and all I want to do is pass out on my bed I’ll wash my face anyway. Not because I’m diligent about my skin care, but because I want to smell the scent. Haha.

dhc makes a nice olive oil cleansing oil ryan ;-D not as fab as shu but just as luxurious and half the price!
