I generally loved Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara when I first tried it out but I prefer my mascara in a waterproof formula. Rimmel Sexy Curves Waterproof Mascara steps onto the scene with a brand new version and a waterproof formula. Score!

Now Rimmel Sexy Curves isn’t going to change your mascara world but it’s inexpensive price tag and very interesting applicator could prove it worthy of a pick up. The formula is nice and inky black and the interesting applicator pulls lashes upward and curls them very well for a longer, fuller lash look. The applicator is plastic and is made up of three round clumps. The trick to applying correctly and getting a solid, fuller lash look is to curl lashes prior to use as you’ll see the best results if you do so. The applicator seems to allow good even coverage of lashes and grasps each one between the rounder clumps that make up the brush.

Like I said it’s not going to change your mascara world but it’s a cheap, inexpensive way to get fuller lashes on the fly for a great price. It’s waterproof formula makes it smudge and flake proof so it’s ideal for the humid days we’ve been having lately. It’s unique brush makes it a winner for me and that’s saying alot as you know the Muse isn’t a fan of drugstore mascara so much.

Overall, I’d say it’s worthy of a pick up and a try if you’re in the market for inexpensive. It’s always great having at least one cheap mascara in your makeup case as you won’t feel so badly about tossin’ it out for a fresh one every few months! Rimmel Sexy Curves Waterproof Mascara wins this Muse’s vote for a good beauty on the budget pick.

Likey!

weird, ive never liked a rimmel lashie ive tried, after 4 different ones i finally learned my lesson and stopped buying them. im kinda in love with too faced lash injection (my first sephora-purchased lashie) which is actually duped by prestige which i stocked up on some travel sizes at walgreens for 2 bucks apiece, yay. i also dig urban decays fat brushes, but the brush on my non-waterproof is actually bigger than the wp one! plus, i prefer the matte look of the non-wp formula vs the glossy wp one, but i only use non-wp if im desperate. and i do mean desperate. the ud lashie is the first non-wp ive owned in like 8 years. before i met sephora my hg lashie was loreal voluminous. itll still be my go to. i just bought neutrogena natural volume today and its got a FAT brush to it, love it, and it gives me really long looking lashes, but not as fat as im used to with too faced or loreal.
what ive really been curious about is the diorshow one. i had a roomie who was a mua, and he was ALL ABOUT mac everything, and diorshow lashie. have you tried it?

      hey michelley!

I’m kinda meh on rimmel myself but I really like sexy curves! :-D Cool you found a dupe for lash injection! and on the cheap yay! I’m not big on the UD it’s good but not great.

I HATE MAC mascaras :-D Love everything else mac but they do not excel at making mascara :-D the Diorshow is good but it’s a little overly hyped. My HG is made my a japanese brand, it’s a great mascara, good applicator, does incredible things for my lashes w00t!

I’m excited to hear you say there’s another cheap option to get bangin’ eyelashes. I will have to try. I like more length with less volume because I feel like I get less “clumpyness” that way. May I also recommend my favorite two mascaras
    My Cheap choice:
Define-A-Lash Washable Lengthening Mascara, around $8- pretty long looking lashes. Not as fantastic as the Givenchy but good for 8 bucks.
    My Expensive Choice:
Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Effet Extension , $28- I am in LOVE with this mascara. But since I’m a broke college student, can’t afford to buy it. applicator is small which allows you to get every lash. Very dramatic eyelashes. (I use for my “going out” make-up).
p.s. any other mascaras that are good for length?

Have been fiddling around with this mascara for about a month now and am still on the fence about it. Love the brush but not the formula. It’s a little too much like an oil slick and takes forever to dry. I feel like it’s too difficult to comb through and separate lashes. It does last without smudging though and really does give good length and curl. Maybe not worthy of a repurchase but the brush itself might be a good tool to wash off and keep as an eyelash comb.
