Tarte Indelible Wink Liquid Liner & Shadow Review and Swatches

Remember how the Muse was telling you how awful she is with liquid eye liner? Seriously, liquid liner is such a difficult medium to work with. Who are these glamorous girls that can line their eyes with liquid and look all beautiful and put together? And why can’t the Muse acheive the same results without poking an eye out in the process?

It’s just not fair.

My mum always told me life wasn’t fair but I’m going to even out the score with Tarte Indelible Wink Liquid Liner. Those glam girls can have their liquid liner while I use Indeliable Wink to line my eyes with liquid but also a nifty little trick allows me to do it quickly and painlessly without losing an eye in the process!

Skip for it!

What’s the trick? Tarte Indelible Wink Liquid Liner & Shadow comes with a fine sponge applicator that’s loaded with shadow.

So what the hell does that mean Muse?

Here’s the deal. First off you really have to love the fine tip applicator of the liquid liner. It’s a hard applicator that allows for precise application of liquid liner. Although this hard, thin tip is superb for lining the formula itself is still difficult to work with. I just can’t get the hang of lining well with liquid liner. The good news is I don’t really have to be a genius to get it correct. The key is lining with the liquid and retouching with the powder. It’s simple really after lining my eyes with the liquid I go back and trace over that line with the matching powder shadow to fill in any skips from the liquid and to set the liquid. The results? A perfect lined eye.

The best part about the shadow is the fact that it sets the liquid so it’s smudge proof and wears long all day. Plus if you skipped a bit using the liquid or your hand was shaking a bit and your line ended up edging around in an unattractive way you can easily fix the mistake using the powder.

Presto!

Instant gorgeous, glamorous eyes.

See? Didn’t the Muse promise you beautifully lined eyes?

Tarte Indelible Wink Liquid Liner & Shadow is available in four shades for $22 each plus snag it now during the Friend and Family event for 40% Off.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
