As Seen by the Muse: Sephora Blockbuster Palette 2009

As Seen by the Muse 1

Yes, well, we all know I’m not too terribly keen on Sephora palettes….sorry just can’t get on board with ’em. But as seen by this Muse the new Sephora Blockbuster Palette for 2009 on the Sephora Blog. The Muse was thinking you you might like to see it for yourself.

Sephora won the Allure Best All Over Palette Award for it and promises its bigger and badder than prior releases (still looks like a bunch of cheap makeup to me, love ya Sephora just don’t love your palettes).

Looks pretty loaded from these photos plus they included a slew of eye liners too….or at least that’s what those pencils look like. I’m looking forward to seeing the actual design of the compact itself which will probably play an important role in this year’s Holiday theme.

What do you think?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I agree with you on Sephora brand palettes. I think they are garbage. They remind me of the cheap palettes you find at the drug store/walmart around the holidays.

Oooo, I love the new look Muse.. don’t know who ‘new’ it is s I haven’t visited in a while, but it’s smart 🙂

As for the pallette.. well I just don’t like any pallettes! They always remind me of being 8 years old and getting little eyeshadow and lipgloss sets free on the cover of magazines. And the dreaded peel off nail varnish!
The actual make-up contained in that set looks very cheap too me and I can imagine that it doesn’t smell all that great.
Having said that, I like the look of those three blushers/bronzers on the right!
    They seem like pretty shades.

      hey lucy!

thanks hun. needs a bit of work 😀 but thanks!

yes tell me about it, totally aggred LOL! it doesn’t, it has a weird chem smell not cool. I’m curious to see it none the less. I got one free as a beauty perk bonus and it’s just awful:P

I have last year’s Sephora blockbuster palette and I’ve been pretty happy with the eye shadows. They have great color and last a long time (of course, the fact that I’m pretty pale helps with making the color stand out too!) I’ve also had really good luck with the powders – the blushes last a long time on my skin. The lipcolors are crap though – too dry to be used easily, and there are WAAAY too many shades of orange and brown without anywhere near enough pinks and berries.

      hey katie.

I got one free with some points I had raked up but sadly it was crummy 🙁 I’m glad you like the one you got! awesome 😀 I know alot of people love ’em plus they are a good bargain. Too bad about the lipcolors though 🙁

Here is my gripe: how are you supposed to reapply your lip gloss throughout the day? You can’t lug the entire blockbuster with you to work or a party! [Well, I guess you can, but that would be a pain!] I did buy it though; I wouldn’t say it’s the best quality makeup but I just entertain myself every morning figuring out different color combinations for my eyes and lips. And the blushes are really nice – and so are the brow powders. I have yet to try the ‘liquid’ liners.
