Bare Minerals Holiday 2009 Collection

Well ring ding ding today marks many an update on Sephora’s site particularly with the promise of Holiday 2009 is in the air over yonder.

A few updates my little eye did spy were ones from Bare Escentuals. The Bare Escentuals Holiday Collection always strikes me down as I general enjoying hauling many of their offerings due to the amount of product they tend to bundle together paired up with an inexpensive price tag.

Bare Escentuals Holiday Collection 2009 44

Let’s see what the deal is this year!

Jump for it.

The Muse happens to be a chick that smiles alot, laughs often, and wakes up in a sunny mode almost every day of the week. For the days she’s left feeling a little down she can indulge in a bareMinerals Happiness Collection ($54) which is infused with a mood-boosting complex called Happybelle. Supposedly Happybelle is a natural plant extract believed to mimic the effect of endorphins and induce a sense of happiness….who knows? Could work right? Mostly I’m on top of what’s inside this gift set.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. You know, I never really could get the hang of their eyeshadows. Too messy. I appreciate the “natural” qualities and the lack of parabens, but I always ended up making a mess of my bed, bathroom- wherever I was. 😉 The colors are lovely though! Too bad for the klutzes like me.

Happybelle sounds like nonsense to me, unless it’s a folk name for something that I’ve never heard of. It could be. But honestly, unless you’re ingesting this plant-thingy it isn’t going to have much of an effect on you! Why do companies do that? It’s silly! I mean stuff absorbs through your skin (hence me wanting to avoid most parabens), but unless it’s concentrated as hell… oh, I don’t know.

The Buxom lip set is kinda intriguing me.

      Hey mollie

anything that’s loose ends up everywhere for me too. bathroom floor, sink the walls LOL 😀 I’m totally bade with loose stuff! I really love the shadows but the mess is a pain!

LOL agreed on the Happybelle stuff 😀 that’s like acai it’s everywhere and I just don’t believe all the nonsense associated with it’s “healing abilities” 😀

I’m leaning towards the buxom set and the glimmer set they are both super nice. The others I can take or leave!

Commenting is back 🙂 Only noticed now 😛

I was going to ask about the UD Book Of Shadows 2 – would you know when Sephora will likely sell it? It looks like UD is only selling it in their site for now. But… my plan to get it is to order it online, and have it shipped to a friend in New York who will be coming home (Asia) in October (Sephora and UD both do not ship internationally) – lucky me! I wanted to order from one site only for his convenience and Sephora is the better choice for me, so that I can buy other brand items. But again… it’s still not there 🙁

Was going to give in and just order from the UD site but it’s posts like this that make me hesitate haha 😛 If the Babes about Town set hits Sephora, there is no way I can forgive myself for missing the chance to buy it! And to think I am getting 16 new shadows in the Box of Shadows and also grabbing the 24/7 set of nine liners (my first time to try, I’m so excited to mix and match with the shadows) – I need this set for my lips, too!

    Thanks for the post!

      hi cherrysoftness!

It’s on sephora now 😀 I’m waiting for the FF Sale to get mine ;-D UD was a very exciting release this year. I got one of the 24/7 sets I’m testing now and one of the smoky kits, sooooo cutes 😀 Hehe totally understand your excitement hun and hope you get your haul on soon!

  • cherrysoftness

OMG it’s there!!! Just now I checked (I check multiple times a day) and Urban Decay’s Book Of Shadows 2 really is in Sephora ^_^ Sorry for the long story and the question 😛 I’m so happy ^_^

    Weeeeee lucky post!!!

    • the Muse

LOL was just replying to the other comment 😀 hehe yup it’s there!!!!!!! yayayayayaya!

      😀

  • Melissa

I bought one of the lipstick pencils the other day and I’m super impressed. It really does what it claims and is minty too! Never loved much other then the buxom items from the bare’s collection. I just popped the kit in my Sephora cart. I think its a good deal as they are just about half of the full size and and I can use the colors I don’t want to keep for stocking stuffers!

    • the Muse

      Hi Melissa!

awesome! I really want to try ’em 😀 I hated the buxom lip polishes with the sponge applicator, those are rubbish but I liked the other ones with the brush…they were really lovely. Fab idea….! I wanted this kit big time but I think these have the bloody sponge tip applicator grrrr!

  • cherrysoftness

    Me again 😛

Waited for your reply and… hee hee… when is the FF sale? I could really use that – ummm… save money to add another item lol 😛 I hope it’s soon, I have an October deadline! So far my sure purchases are the lip set above, Book of Shadows 2, 24/7 liner set of nine, lip primer from UD, Oil Slick and Naked lippu, and some Sephora-OPI polishes 😛

Btw did you see this new item?
    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid=YXUIQXELDZLZ4CV0KQRRHOQ?id=P242004&categoryId=C7010

If you’re a sucker for names like me, I thought you’d be tempted by this 😛 I personally am not so big on neutrals but I tend to be swayed by names!

    • the Muse

      hey cherry what’s up chica?

hehe 😀 FF is Beginning or Middle of November…not sure…falls differently every year 😀 I’ll let you know when it’s on though ;-D I’m sorta waiting to haul for this reason. Naked Lippie is incredible. You’ll adore it!

I did see that but it was a bit meh for me this was on QVC before I think and I seen the model’s wearing it so I was kinda eh about it but ADORE the name lol!

  • cherrysoftness

Thanks for the super quick reply, you’re really the best 😀

I don’t think I will be able to wait for the FF discount because the person bringing the items over will be arriving in October 🙁 Lemme check on him again, when exactly he’s going. But the longer I browse Sephora the more items I want to buy… can’t over splurge because some friends might be coming home for Christmas as well from JAPAN, want to still afford to grab some Japanese holiday goodies as well 😛

No “natural” colors for me haha 😛 I do like caramel and gentle pink lip shades since I wear cat-style (lol is that even the right term) eye liner everyday, the eye is dramatic enough (so excited about Naked!). But no brownish blushes, or full matte faces, or skintone brown shadows haha I dunno, kind of feel old wearing them 😛

They should have added the Muse name to the glitters, just a thought ^_^

    • the Muse

      aw shucks cherry thanks!

Aww that stinks. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that FF happens earlier for you. I can’t wait for Japan Holiday hopefully it’s good stuff sometimes it’s a bit repetitive!

Awww I’m all about the shimmer I hear you! Naked is incredible it’s my fav of the moment! Hehe yes I think they should go and name a “Muse” color lol! hehe!
