Milani StyliStick Review and Swatches
Here’s a new little treat the Muse discovered while wandering around her local CVS. Milani Stylistick Moisturizing Color Shine are brand new for lips from Milani and $4.49 each (Buy 1, Get 1 50% Off this Week) in an array of six shades.
Jump ahead to hear my thoughts on these.
You know the Muse she’s rarely impressed by drugstore makeup but Milani tends to be one of those fabulous finds that has killer products with an inexpensive price tag. A sheer lip treatment is exactly the sort of thing that appeals on those days I’m not in it for a full makeup.
These little treats have uber cute packaging unlike many of Milani’s other offerings. As much as the Muse digs herself some Milani she doesn’t love the packaging which is why she was pretty giddy that they did these up in a rather cool little design. Each lip slick is packaged in a small, chunky tube decorated in an almost Indian cultural design. Little swirls of gold decorate the packaging and each tube is shaded in the color of the actual color shine.
These are a very subtle little lip shine with a pinch of color but just enough to give a nice pretty impact on lips. The formula is moisturizing, slick, and watermelon flavored. I’d say they have a medium pigmentation as they aren’t completely sheer but leave behind just the right amount of color on lips. I’m not sure what I adore more the flavor or the formula as both impress.
The colors I hauled were C’est Chic (Nude Beige), Modern Girl (Maroon Red), Good Look’n (Orange Coral), and In Fashion (Beige Pink). I actually ended up not liking any of the shades much aside from Maroon Red so I’m going back tomorrow to switch a few up and see what others I’d rather own. C’est Chic and In Fashion were the most disappointing as they are really nude shades which aren’t too flattering. The packaging makes them look a bit more interesting than they are and since they are sealed it’s difficult to open them in store and have a peek. I’m going to try the other two shades on offer to see if those are more suitable.
Overall, with their inexpensive price tag and tasty formula they are worthy of a haul. Particularly if you’re a more natural girl when it comes to doing up your lips. The formula is so light and lovely it feels like you have nothing on plus it leaves behind a nice, moist feeling so your lips aren’t left feeling dry and gross.
Likey alot! Muse Approved for purchase.
