Did the Muse happen to tell you that she adores pretty powders? No great secret there right?
When she first got a peek at the new Flirt! Flowerific Cheek Color Powder she was quite of the mentality that she didn’t really need another pretty powder. Truly she tried hard to resist but after testing it out, it quickly grew on her and now she’s ever so happy it’s making friends with all the rest of the powders in her stash.

This Fall, Kenzo comes at us with a brand new eau de parfum. If you’re a fan of FlowerbyKenzo you’ll be quite delighted at this new scent which is a tribute to the original fragrance.
A sensual floral stream of rosa damascena, jasmine, sensual musks and vanilla make up FlowerbyKenzo Essentielle.
This new fragrance was composed by François Demachy and is housed in a three newly designed bottles by Serge Mansau. As with many of the Kenzo bottles, this is a slick, modern affair with an architectural look.
It’s available now from Kenzo.
15 Years later Donna Karan takes her popular fragrance Cashmere Mist and makes it better with the release of Cashmere Mist Luxe Edition.
Jump ahead to hear about Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Luxe Edition.
I mentioned in a prior post that Cashmere Mist was having a 15 year anniversary this year which I’m sure sparked the release of this Luxe Edition. My sister is a fond fan of the scent and was ever so delighted to try out this release…yes the Muse has been known to share a time or two.
I’m so used to the scent of the toilette that the parfum was quite a delightful surprise. Although very similar in scent I took note that the parfum manages to come across softer and truer to it’s notes than the toilette does.
Inspired by the comforting warmth of cashmere this scent will envelope you in a soft, intimate fragrance that’s flattering for both day and night wear. Notes of Lily of the Valley, Suede, Bergamot, Ylang, and Jasmine create a gentle, dominate base that enhance a key note for me which is vanilla. Although the blend has edger notes such as Patchouli, Musk, and Amber for the most part you’ll get a very comfortable, intimately blended fragrance that’s easy on the nose and very sexy.
This is my first time trying the parfum as my sister normally has the toilette hanging around. It manages to linger alot longer on my skin than the regular toilette and I also experienced notes in a new way as the toilette manages to come across a little softer where as this came on a tad stronger and truer.
If you’re a lover of Cashmere Mist you’ll want to snatch this Luxe Edition up for yourself. It’s available now from Sephora, Nordstrom, Macy’s, and Bloomingdale’s.

Ok, nobody panic but I think someone forgot to send out the memo to Victoria’s Secret about it being Fall.
With the introduction of the new Victoria’s Secret I Love Coconut Collection one does wonder what’s up at VS headquarters. Maybe they are just in denial that the season is over and in honor of it still being Summer over at Victoria’s Secret they decided to bring us a tropical coconut collection to make us yearn for those long, humid days.
Could be anything but the Muse chooses to believe that someone screwed up and didn’t tell them it’s Fall.
It’s ok though, I can still so get excited about coconut.
