Victoria’s Secret Pout Collection

Victoria's Secret Pout Collection 121

Ok, check it.

I was at Victoria’s Secret a few days ago and seen this uber awesome display of strictly lip goodies and it was called simply “Pout”. I’m kinda hyped over this for a few reasons. One, I adore lipgloss doh. Two, the script and font kinda reminded me of the dearly departed Pout Cosmetic line. I wonder does VS now own the rights to Pout now or something? Complete and utter speculation from a makeup junkie but it seemed really similar. However, it is only a line of lip cosmetics but still it sure was something to get hyper about. So far I purchased a single gloss which I’ll review for you shortly but the line has a slew of other items.

Take a look after the jump!

As I mentioned above the line is completely all about the lips. Glosses, stains, scrubs, lipsticks, you name it and they have it for lips. Aside from the font the packaging doesn’t really resemble the long gone Pout line of cosmetics however it does sport a little bit of the same flavor in my humblest which makes me wonder where Victoria’s Secret will go with this. One should note that it’s listed as the brand Pout on the website however the boxes do say Victoria’s Secret. Collaboration anyone?

Check it.

From what I have seen, swatched, touched, and played with I will say each item is not only inexpensive but quality. The quality is there and the prices are quite affordable. I only purchased a gloss as I had a ten dollar coupon and snagged it for $2 bucks. I was going to haul hard but I thought I’d give the gloss a try first and go back for more. I really like the line so far and will bring you a review of the gloss shortly.

All in all a rather fabulous little line of funky fun lip products from Victoria’s Secret. I really love how much effort they are putting into the cosmetic line of their beauty department. They always have had great little releases here and there but as of late it’s more full lines of cosmetics, quite awesome and quite interesting.

Anyone see these yet?

Oh those look very tempting. The whole collection does. It would not shock me if Victoria’s Secret/Limited Brands owned the rights to Pout now. When I worked at Bath and Body Works a few years ago, they acquired Pout right after it stopped being carried at Sephora. They then got rid of line but it looks to me as if they want to release it their own way in Victoria’s Secret. When I sold it, the lip plumpers where the only thing that sold anyway.

      Hi Erin!

Interesting fact there Erin! Cool! It’s a rather nice line and I am curious how far they will go with it…hope to not see it during the semi annual if you know what I mean 😀

Hi Muse! I worked at VS from 2007-2009, and I can confirm that they did indeed acquire the brand in 2007 or so. They actually had a line of lingerie/loungewear in some stores to go with it, but it was phased out around a year ago or so, so I guess it didn’t do well. I suppose they’re trying for a relaunch of the beauty brand, now? 🙂

I bought Pout lip plumping gloss at a semi annual at bath and body works probably 2 or 3 years ago, loved the gloss, and lost it only to never see it again in a store. Is that gloss still available somewhere, does anyone know??
