The Muse normally doesn’t do battle between three different products but today is a little bit of a special day. I’ve decided to face off MAC Lipglass against Stila Lipglaze and added in some Korres Cherry Lipgloss for the ride!
The Muse happens to love all three equally but one has to be the gloss that rules them all. There is only one winner in this beauty battle of the glosses.

This competition pits three glosses against each other with one coming out the best pick. All three sport some great traits but only one can win. Stila Lipglaze? MAC Lipglass? Korres Cherry Lipgloss?

Weighting in at 0.08 oz with a $24 price tag, Stila Lipglaze makes a flamboyant entrance into this ring. It’s unique lip brush applicator makes it a popular pick for those who like a quick click and apply however it’s price tag and smaller size could cause a knock out or two from Korres and MAC. Sporting a sublte, sheer formula in most cases with a few pigmented colors along the way it applies flawlessly and leaves behind a glossy finish.
Will it’s size and price tag bring it down in this battle?
Swiping in the from the side lines Korres Cherry Lipgloss comes into this fight with alot of force behind it’s punch and fair knocks Stila out of the ring. Sporting the best pigment of the trio of glosses in this fight, the best size, and the best price I’m thinking this gloss may take on both MAC and Stila and knock them out. $16 dollars and 0.20 oz size gives it alot of buck to back up that punch. It knocks Stila right out of the ring how will it fair against MAC?
MAC drops in at 0.17 oz in size, a little underweight but it can punch Stila easily when it comes to size, color variety, and price but it’s nasty vanilla scent and flavor could prevent it from coming up on top. $14 makes it $2 cheaper than Korres but taking size into consideration Korres is creeping up for the win.
At this point both MAC and Korres have wiped out Stila and she’s out of the line up for the win. Now it’s MAC versus Korres who’s coming in for the final punch.
And the winner is….
MAC!
MAC takes the final punch and Korres is down. Although Korres gets major props for formula, pigmentation, price, and size, MAC manages to creep in with a little bit of a better price for it’s size plus it’s color variety and ever rotating catalog of colors wipes Korres out. It has a long wear formula that although sticky and tacky manages to wear long throughout the day. It’s vanilla taste and smell could be it’s downfall but it’s a minor short coming when you put it up against it’s many virtues.
This Beauty Battle is won by MAC. Sorry Stila and Korres, the Muse loves you but only one gloss can win in this battle.

I have to admit….I HATE lipgloss – can’t stand that sticky feeling. Every now and again I give it another go but I just can’t stand it.

I personally LOVE the tacky feel (and lasting power!) of MAC lipglasses, and I also really really like the vanilla scent. I prefer it to Korres’ cherry candy smelling glosses, but it’s nice that there are options for everyone

Interesting post; I dig it.
However the Lip Glazes are $22. I do agree that despite how much I love them, I tend to buy more MAC Lipglasses than Stila Lip Glazes. They certainly are yummy!

so you motivated me to try all 3 today.. LOL actually the only ones I haven’t tried is Korres and they are on their way to me. Can one really have enough pink lip glosses? I think not.. Will you do a similar battle for the top lip plumper? pretty please?

I don’t know… I never had Korres Cherry Lip Gloss until a few days ago but for me it kills MAC! It’s long lasting without the horrid stickiness of MAC and it smells soooo much better!
