This morning the Muse is raking her brain trying to remember the first time she tried Bourjois Paris Corps Mascara. Gosh, it had to be ten years ago at least. Do you guys remember it? It was a dual mascara with a primer on one side and a mascara on the other. Actually at the time the entire idea and design was unique to anything anyone had out on the market.
Anyway….
Reason I’m taking my little trip down memory lane today is because I’ve been test driving the brand new Bourjois Paris Corps de Theatre 2 in 1 Mascara and loving all over it. For the longest time Bourjois was my go to brand for great mascara and it’s nice to see them release something new.
Jump ahead to hear my review.
Bourjois Paris Coup de Theatre Mascara has a great inky formula, a good brush, and the ability to make lashes longer and fatter. What more could a girl ask for?
The applicator is pretty standard, you know the Muse she likes a few bells and whistles when it comes to these things, but still it manages to pull lashes up and out. It gives great lenght and makes lashes fuller. It doesn’t really curl lashes but gives more of a fuller, longer look. The formula is pretty pigmented so it works well at giving the illusion of false lashes.
It basically feels like they combined all the elements of the original Corps into one formula as it performs just as well minus the primer. When it comes to anything Bourjois I’m all about it. This one I liked very much and deem it worthy of a pick up.
Bourjois Paris becomes more and more difficult to locate lately but Ulta does seem to update often with the products thankfully so if you’re wanting this you can head to your local Ulta or www.ulta.com to snatch it up.
Loves it!

The last couple of times I went to Ulta I have looked at this mascara and then put it back. I think next time I go I will pick it up. I have never tried anything from Bourjois so this may be a good start.
oh def get it jackie. well worthy of a pick up plus BP is pretty inexpensive
Hi Izzy,
I’ve been using this mascara for the last 3 months and am pretty impressed. Bourjois has been coming out with some quality products lately, which has a long-time fan such as myself well pleased!
Hi Liz!
Ditto. Really love everything they have been doing lately but I sure do wish they’d start doing more within the US sad sigh
Everything I get normally has to come from UK or Japan. Thank god Ulta carries alot of it otherwise I’d go through withdrawal
Yes, I was surprised to find Sephora discontinue Bourjois when I was in NYC last December. I guess you guys have way too many brands over there for Bourjois to really take off!
I was in London last week and picked up their new Volume Glamour Ultra Curl (http://www.bourjois.co.uk/catalog/make_up/eyes/mascara/volume_glamour_ultra_curl). I’ve used it a few times and am really liking it!
I’m also tempted to get their Ombre Stretch Infinite Green (http://www.bourjois.co.uk/catalog/make_up/eyes/eyeshadow/ombre_stretch_eyeshadow)…
I was heartbroken Liz as I adore the brand. I hear the ombre stretch aren’t too pigmented which is why I’ve held off until now
I have the Volume Ultra and love it too!!!!!!
Yes, when Ombre Stretch first came out, I was not impressed at all. The few colours I tried at Boots appeared chalky and faint. I went through a streak of poor Bourjois products, but this May when I was over in London and saw their new Effect 3D Max and some new Ombre Stretch, I gave them a go and was delighted to find them of high(er) quality. I picked up three Effect 3D Max and one Ombre Stretch (blue; I would have got more if I didn’t already have the other colours from other brands). I hope you try Ombre Stretch again!
funny you mention effect 3d Liz I have a review planned for it later today or tomorrow. Very impressed with it. I blame the awesome applicator
I think I will upon your rec maybe I’ll pick up that green shade like you
!!!!!!!!!
thanks for the heads up hun!
Cool! Yes, that applicator is awesome. At first I didn’t get it, thought it was weird, the plastic, the cut-out. But when I tried it for a couple of times, I realised it was perfect for squeezing out the excess gloss and the shape was great for defining the Cupid’s Bow – colour me impressed!
Yes, do try Infinite Green. It’s a lovely shade of green (pine green is it?).
agreed Liz love love the applicator and it does wonders on the curve of my upper lip for sure plus it really gets ALOT of gloss out unlike sponge applicators
must get that green now
