MAC Style Black 202

MAC Style Black has my heart this week. I’ve been playing around with a few pieces and must get to a counter right quick to haul more. Although I can’t make ANY of the lip items work on this face I’m still absolutely adoring the MAC Mineralize Eye Shadows and Grease Paintstick…so gorg!

Jump ahead to hearing my babblings about MAC Style Black and please do share what you hauled!

So far I got my hands on MAC Mineralize Eye Shadows in Gilt and Cinderfella and a GreasePaint Stick in Black. I’m wanting the other two shadows since I’m so in love with these two. Although I’ve been known to rant about the release after release after release of Mineralize Shadows lately, I did think these were pretty special. Pigmentation is all kinds of perfect plus a shimmer finish makes for a happy Muse. Hate the fall out woes but love, love the looks each shadow can create. Out of the two I’m definitely sweating Gilt the hardest. It’s a gorgeous brown with gold veining. Cinderfella comes up a close second in the fav department. It’s a beautiful rich deep black with silver veining. The simplicity of favoring a single shade of color instead of doubling up as they normally do with ME shadows makes these special.

The GreasePaint Stick is an added bonus as it’s such a rich liner with an incredibly dreamy, creamy formula. Although I adore most MAC liners I feel like the GreasePaints are really something special particularly because they multitask as both a base and a liner.

Overall, MAC Style Black holds alot of promise. Although I can’t pull off the lip items I’m definitely all about the eye items. Totally a winner for me.

Loves it!

hey robyn
not arrived yet in UK?!

Honestly Gilt was special for me. I love it as a Fall color. It’s such a golden brown…very gorg. I didn’t get any of the glosses, lippies. Just wasn’t for me :P I wish I can pull them off but my goth card is cashed in for my kawaii card…as you can see..big eyes, plump cheeks LOL

Ok so I bought all 3 greasepaint sticks, Black, V and B. I LOVE THEM. They’re fantastic not only as liner but as a base. I still use my TFSI base before I put them on. But they’re awesome! They do ’set’ for me and don’t crease all over the place.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

They’re like EVERYTHING I wanted in an eyeliner and paint pot all rolled into one. I’m actually tempted to buy a back up of Black, but I’m guessing that if they’re really that popular they may stick around. They’re better than shadesticks. Reallly <3

I am in LOVE with the greasepaint stick…so much so I bought 2 of the black (might go back for the V from Dsquared). XD I hauled both the Seriously Hip and Baby Goth Girl polishes (actually just painted my nails Baby Goth Girl an hour ago lol), Night Violet lipstick, and Blackfire Glimmer Glass (which I wish had a teeny bit more pigment, but looks great over a stain of Night Violet.)

I skipped the shadows this time mainly because I feel like I have wasted so much time and effort on MAC mineralize shadows and feel like I wasted money on the ones I bought in the past.

ditto MC they seem so much richer in color than a normal kohl! Can’t wear the glosses here sniff. My face is too full so I look ridiculous :P

Mmm me too. ME are hit and miss for me. A majority of the time I skip alot but this time I couldn’t resist as the shades are soooo gorg :-D

Wish I can indulge in polish but I bite my nails to the stub!

I had to have Gilt and Young Punk MES…and I don’t even like MES’s! They were just too gorgeous to pass up. I got the Baby Goth Girl nail laquer because I have been wanting a black with some oomph, and the grease paintstick, which I am not sure if I like or not. It kind of tugs at the lid. I also got both volcanic products and love those.

hey kajal!

aren’t they lovely? MAC did a good job :-) I was kinda tiredof MES but these are special! I’mnot much of a nail girl so I skipped on those :-D I kinda dig the grease paint for a base or as a waterliner :-D love love volcanic ash :-D great stuff!

Nice hauling hun!

I didn’t think much of the greasepaint sticks….but I wonder if I should still get them before they sell out, because everyone seems to love them!

Do these smudge if used as a liner? How do they perform as a base, do they crease if you still prep with UDPP?

Anyway I still didn’t receive your email, but in any case I’ve changed my main blog email since I was having trouble getting some other emails as well. Hope to hear from you before you go on your trip :)

sorry for the delayed reply blu LOTS of comments to get through. So far they wear well without smudging for me. No creasing either but I never really experience creasing/fading/etc…..

*smacks forehead* bad time for me I believe by now we missed each other :( maybe next trip over!?!!??!?!?! I’m sorry!!!!!!!
