There is something so magical about MAC Mineralized Eyeshadow in Blue Sorcery.

Believe it or not I’ve been avoiding the MAC counter like the plague since the release of the MAC Holiday Collection 2009. Oh I know MAC and MAC knows me. It’s likely I’ll haul tons of Holiday like it’s going out business if I’m not careful that’s why I’ve been biding my time carefully for the big day I do finally head to counter. Fact is I am somewhat off the jet plane I used to be on where I was rushing to MAC as soon as a collection released. I’m calmer now, a little less hyped, more level headed about my purchases….as its probably evident I have WAY too much MAC.

But today I can Muse a little with you about MAC Mineralized Eyeshadow Blue Sorcery. Wanna join in?

Jump!

Out of everything released this Holiday one of the first and last lemmings I had was MAC Mineralized Eyeshadow in Blue Sorcery. If you read a fair bit around these parts you’ll know I have a certain obsession with shades of teal, aqua, oceany blues, etc……Blue Sorcery fits right into my passion.

Made up of a frosty silver and a bright turquoise the color makes me drool myself into a cosmetic frenzy. The color manages to cocktail a dominate green base with a bright blue to create the dept of turquoise you see in the pot. I call it brilliance.

If you haven’t hauled this yet you must snag one particularly if you’re a fan of turquoise.

Loves it!

Will create a pretty little look with it shortly and post.

Anyone haul Blue Sorcery?

Loves?

Leaves?

this was the only thing that caught my eye from the holiday collection but i decided against it because i thought the turquoise shade was too similar to steamy…thoughts?

I LOL-ed at this Izzy dear!

For me, it’s this… “I’m calmer now, a little less hyped, more level headed about my purchases….as its probably evident I have WAY too much makeup!”

Haha! But indeed, the shadow is gorgeous, but not something I’d pick up if I don’t have the extra moolah :( MAC’s been a little off my list lately :(

Hi there,
I’ve been an avid fan of your blogs but this is the first time I’ve posted anything. I just bought Blue Sorcery today and am wearing now out to a cocktail party. It is great as I, like yourself, love the blues, teals, etc..it goes out really well (the frosty bit is a bit harder but I just dabbed that on lightly as the shimmer is intense).. Thumbs up as the colour pay off on the turquoise is outstanding!

Love it.
and Love your Beauty words more.

hi toshiko! so happy you came out to say hello! Love my singaporean readers :-D ! Thank you for your lovely compliment/comment!

Blue Sorcery is incredible right? I thought it went on incredibly wet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D I didn’t like the silver though, it was so gritty and awful, wish the entire shadow was made up of the beautiful teal :-D Thanks for sharing your technique for application because I thought it was a little frosty as well!

Hugs!

I got the MES in Devil-May-Care. The gorgeous purple one. I was torn between Blue Sorcery and mine. For some reason though I have been on a purple streak, so I ended up getting that one. Also, I was a bit worried since I am pretty pale and already have blue eyes that the teal would be too much (I tend to feel like I always have too much make up on no matter what). Though it did look fabulous as a swatch in the store. Perhaps I shall go back and just try it on.

Hey Lisa I think I want that one too. I think I always wear too much makeup :-D haha. I think you’ll like it, it’s quite a unique shade :-D the silver side is crummy though be warned :P

I tried to budget myself on my first trip for the MAC Holiday collections and I skipped this. Then I ended up going back a week later after I realized it was too gorgeous to pass up. It is so pretty!

I tried this out in my fav MAC store yesterday and my MA paired it up with Blue Flame and it was gorgeous!

Me like you too….buying time and restraining myself from making any purchase from this collection yet…..
