Reader’s Request: Lancome Photogenic Skin Illuminating Concealer Review

Sorry…someone had requested a review of Lancome Photogenic Skin Illuminating Concealer a little while back ago and I’m just now getting to it. Apologies!

Lancome Photogenic Skin Illuminating Concealer 1

Today I give to you the Lancome Photogenic Skin Illuminating as requested.

Take the jump!

I’m concealer crazed, constantly on the look out for the next best one. Lancome Photogenic Skin Illuminating Concealer falls into my great list…not my “oh my god the sky is falling because I ran out of concealer” list but definitely my great list.

Creamy yet dry, sheer but pigmented this concealer is an interesting contradiction of formulas that managed to wriggle into my heart. The formula is a harder texture than I’d normally reach for and it’s considerably drier than what I prefer but it still manages to apply and blend flawlessly without settling into fine lines, creasing or caking.

The formula glides onto my eyes and manages to conceal puff, circles, and fine lines with a quick pat of my finger tip. If you aren’t keen on moisturizing formulas and prefer a denser concealer this should appeal. It’s dense formula actually makes it easier to apply and blend for a natural appearance. It’s very lightweight and wears well in the heat. I’d say you can get about 7 hours or more of wear. It’s pigmented enough to work at concealing stubborn dark circles plus a little goes a long way so one jar will last ages.

Overall, it’s one of the great concealers out there that I really like. As I said if you prefer a dense concealer this would be for you. All age groups can benefit from it as it seems to adapt fairly well to my finely lined, puffy old eyes.

Likey!

    Hi Muse!

I’ve come to you for help since you seem to be quite the concealer authority XD.

From the reviews I’ve seen you seem to focus a bit more on the under eye area and if the concealer settles or not onto lines, but I was wondering… is there a concealer you recommend for covering acne?

I’ve been using Prescriptives Flawless Skin Total Protection Concealer and while it is really pigmented I find it a tad hard to blend (perhaps it is because I’m using Hello Flawless as my foundation?) and thus my skin looks patchy (or maybe I’m just a bit OC about blending, who knows). Also I tried Sephora’s Palette Corectrice which I really like but find a little annoying because I always run out of the nude (1) shade (which appears to blend with my face color really well) waaaaay before I get through the leaf, lilac and sandy ones.

mmm kiera I must say I am so not the authority on concealing/covering acne. My face is dry for the most part and really never experience acne probs even in my teens. I wish I had a good rec for concealing such problems but I can’t really speak without experience. Have you tried asking on MUA for folks with the same problems? or maybe head to BB as I really love her concealer so maybe her new concealer stick might be good?

      Hope this helps my dear.

Hi! I’m looking for a new concealer and I was wondering what was on your “oh my god the sky is falling because I ran out of concealer” list? 😉 Or maybe there’s an older post that you could direct me to? Thanks!

    Hi Muse!

Could you please tell me how this concealer compares to the MAC Studio Sculpt concealer from one of your other reviews? Which one of these two concealers provides more coverage and lasts longer?

    Thanks!

    Love from New Zealand~~
