Sana Hiaruronsan Moisture Gel Review
If you’re a Japanese makeup and skincare junkie like me you’re probably very familiar with a brand called Sana. Sana has a slew of little sub brands they put out such as Excel, Maikohan, Etc….
Honestly, some of their sub brands have really gimmicky products but I end up buying them because the packaging and advertisement is just too blooming cute to resist.
The most recent Sana release caught my eye right away because again I was drawn in by that uber sweet packaging that I find so hard to resist. Always expecting to not really be too surprised when something from Sana is cute but not necessarily great quality I braced myself for a let down.
And was pleasantly surprised….
Jump for it.
Hiaruronsan Moisture Gel and Hiaruronsan Moisture Mist are recently introduced via Sana and had me kinda hyped to give a try. This time around it wasn’t only the promise of cute packaging that got me excited but also relief for dry skin. Today I’ll be introducing you to Hiaruronsan Moisture Gel and reviewing it for you and later on I’ll give you full details on the Moisture Mist.
Hiaruronsan Moisture Gel is a multi-use cream that can be used under your eyes, on your face, or even on your hands. It’s a gel-like formula that’s highly moisturizing, offers incredibly hydration, and can be used under or over makeup. It contains no color, fragrance, and is mineral oil free. Although it has a bit of an alcohol smell I haven’t experienced any drying or tightness so I’m assuming it’s free of alcohol. I absolutely adore it as I’m starting to get dry, flaky areas on my cheeks and between my brows and this instantly clears that up. It also offers incredible moisture under my eyes and is the perfect prep prior to concealer.
I ended up purchasing to as it was an affordable 980 yen (around $12USD or so after tax). One I slapped in my desk at work for a quickie moisture pick me up and one is at home for use in the morning for delivering quick moisture to my under eye area and dry patches on my face.
It comes housed in a Russian Doll-like packaging and does require you dip into it with fingers. I know many users, myself included, aren’t too keen on putting out fingers into creams but I’m trying to forgive this aspect of the product.
Overall, it’s a rather killer little cream for delivering quick bursts of intense moisture. Really, really loving this.
Although exclusive to the Asian market I’ve had the pleasure of seeing it for sale, close to retail, at Adam Beauty.
I took the liberty of including Sana’s ad for the Hiaruronsan Collection in this post. Sana now has an English section which is great as we can partake and actually understand the cute little adverts they have up.
