There isn’t doubt in the Muse’s mind that the Tsumori Chisato for Shu Uemura has some incredible offerings particularly package wise. The packaging is sincerely adorable on each and every piece. The Planet Cat Palette is particularly kawaii featuring a silver glittery compact with a black cat who has one eye that’s a rhinestone.
In regards to design I’m very pleased with the palette however the contents aren’t as popular with me as the packaging. I love the blush as it’s a gorgeous shade of peachy glow goodness but please keep in mind I’m at the stage of just holding the palette close to my heart and haven’t yet swatched anything as of yet. The one thing that was slightly disappointing was the mismatch of colors in the shadows. It’s made up of a large portion of silver shadow, a smaller black shade which could be used for a liner, and a copper penny bronze also small in size.
Taking into consideration the black and silver I’d say you can get a lovely smoky eye look from the palette but I did find the coppery shade a tad strange. Also included are a creamy highlighter and a black gel liner. I admit I’m normally not particularly creative with combing colors and such but I will say that I thought the entire palette was a mix of colors that didn’t seem to go well together. It was almost as if they paired warm and cool tones in one palette. Interesting but I’d rather they focus on one idea or look.
At $65 it’s a little costly but if you’re a collector I imagine that could be consider chump change. I am glad I got the additional 20% Off via Sephora Friends and Family when hauling as it made the $65 seem a little lighter. It’s such a unique piece I didn’t mine the high cost and generally Shu is pretty expensive regardless. Still unsure if I’d recommend it as a haul or just a pretty little bauble to collect but I’m loving it none the less.
Anyone haul from Planet Cat?
