Yes, yes it’s early but Stila graces us with it’s Holiday Collection already. Gotta enjoy sharing the love of cool Holiday makeup two months before Christmas.
This year the Stila Holiday Collection 2009 graces us with a few gift sets. As of yet I haven’t seen palettes but I’m not losing hope yet as Stila has a way of creeping up on us. Plus we do have to give them some breathing room since they are rebuilding.
The good news is the gift sets are inexpensive as sin. It’s alot of product packed into one place with a small price and even a To and From field if you’re giving instead of getting for yourself.

The Stila Smudge Collection could end up to be your best friend or not. Not because you may be like me and already own a few of the shades included but total score if you don’t. I will say it includes two yay shades and two nay shades if you’re a collector. Yay for Violet and Starry Night as the Muse doesn’t yet have ’em but nay for Kitten and Black which I already do have. Big yay if you have none as you’ll get four shades for a killer price of $32.
These aren’t full size but mini which is one reason I adore them. I have alot of makeup and the smaller sizes really make it easier on me as I feel like I get alot of variety for alot less plus I’m not rushing to finish a larger size. Each pot can be used as a liner, a base, or a shadow so they multitask quite well. It works out to around $8 per a pot which is a great little deal considering a little product goes a long way. Each pot is deeply pigmented and applies easily and flawlessly.
You’ll get the following shades:
- Kitten (Champagne Beige with specks of gold)
- Starry Night (Midnight Blue with specks of gold)
- Violet (Purple with specks of silver)
- Black (Inky Black)
One reason you may be yearning for the kit is to get your hands on Starry Night which is definitely something to get excited about. It’s a nice rich almost purple blue. Also Violet scores a win for me as it’s vibrant hue of purple. I just think of Kitten and Black as an extra piece of the cake even though I already own both.
Overall, the kit is an incredible value and well worthy of a pick up if you never tried Stila Smudge Pots before or if you have you’ll happily haul these at a super price.
