The Muse Thinks Pink: Korres for the Cure Giveaway

iStock_000010431255XSmall

Hey guys!

The Muse had a rather busy day at work today so I’m busy typing this up at lunch and will have it go live late tonight. Happy Weekend…it’s only 12 but I’m gearing up for my weekend, can barely wait. What are you up to this weekend? I’m heading to Skull Island with friends, yea as if I don’t have enough zombies in my life. Gonna get some apple and pumpkin picking in too! Plus I’m dying to see Where the Wild Things Are, prob see that tonight, anyone wanting to see it? Comic Con totally went bust on me…that’s a long story…and dramas, first year I’m not going but meh other things to do.

Anyway!

More important things to discuss….

As you know I’m Thinking Pink for the entire month of October to bring awareness to Breast Cancer and how this disease is more common than most of you realize. In my fight for the cure I’m donating $200 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I’m not the only one donating funds and time to Breast Cancer this month. One of my very favorite brands, Korres, has also joined in the fight for a cure and has some incredible “pink” offerings on their site to raise both awareness and funds for their charity of choice. A few days ago I told you all about the Korres Lip Kits for the Cure. These are a mere $19.50, include three fab Korres products, and 10% of the proceeds goes to National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund. As if that wasn’t enough Korres is deducting 20% Off all it’s “pink” products in October by using promo code GOPINK.

Shop Pink with Korres by visiting www.korresusa.com

Korres has been very generous to Musings and sent along a package full of love and pink products to give away to readers. This prize package includes a total of eight Korres products and will be given away at the end of the month.

To enter to win you can do a few things.

Follow me on Twitter.

Stop by, say hi, chat with me. I don’t bite. I procrastinate daily on Twitter so it’s a rather awesome way to get some one on one time with me. It’s particularly an awesome tool when I’m not answering emails for months at a time (my inbox is ridiculously packed).

Following me on Twitter gives you a single random chance to win the prize package.

Secondly, go ahead and comment. Tell me what the weather is like on your side of the planet, tell me your experiences with Breast Cancer, heck tell me what your fav Korres products are…anything, everything, chat it here and you’ll be randomly entered one more time to win.

And lastly for every $1 you donate using my chip in widget you’ll have additional chances to win. Two chances by using the above methods and $1 gets you a third chance, $2 gets you a fourth chance, and so on and so fourth. Proceeds with be donated to my charity at the end of the month.

Now…you wanna know what you’ll be winning right?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

That’s so cool that Korres supplied you with those goodies! 🙂 I’ve tried the lip butters (yum! not perfect, but very good), lip glosses (wish they were just a bit stickier and more pigmented, but very very nice glosses), and the watermelon tinted moisturizer (seriously, I love this stuff! good color match for me, has spf30, and good coverage. It does dry quickly but is worth the extra effort).

    • the Muse

They’re really generous! It’s so weird, I was thinking of stopping by Sephora today to see if they have any lip butters that’ll suit me and I wake up and see your wonderful giveaway! (: Hmm, the weather in NY is very rainy and cold LOL I’m sure I don’t have to tell you and you’ll probably know already. Korres is a great company! I’ve only tried their shampoos, which I love. I’ve seen their products demonstrated on TV and everything looks yummy. I’ve learned SO much from your blog and newsletters. Thanks for all you do from a fellow makeup junkie 🙂

  • Holly

I remember being 10 or 11 when my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was exactly one month to the day that her husband, my grandfather, passed away. I have always been close to my grandmother, so even at a young age, I remember going to see her in the recovery room and her coming to stay at our house for a month to relax and recover. My grandmother was lucky and caught her cancer early on. However, this year alone, I know four women who were diagnosed with breast cancer.

    • the Muse

gosh Holly I’m glad your grandmother was so lucky but so very sorry about the other four people in your life who are suffering. I wish you and them the best. Thanks for sharing your story!!!!!!!!

  • Nancy

It’s been raining all weekend where I am Muse! 🙁 I guess it’s a nice excuse to stay in and catch up on reading blogs!! I have the Korres Lip Butter and it’s wonderful! I have dry lips and it does a great job at keeping my lips moisturized. I have it in Jasmine and it’s great to wear alone for a neutral look or under lipstick so my lips don’t dry out. The Pomegranate Cleansing Wipes are on my list to pick up when Sephora Friends & Family begins!!

  • mary_in_wonder

damn you lucky girl winning this huge package! OMG awesomeness…..and I’m coherent….
I was lemming the Estee Lauder pink set today….wanted to buy it for my Mum, we we weren’t allowed to swatch it…thus I passed. It was such a good deal! the kit for the price of a lipstick (at least here)….and I wasn’t sure the color it turns on skin. My Mum’s skin is “special” it turns cosmetics’ color into waaaay different than they show on on others o_O unsafe to shop for her….

    • the Muse

hey mary! How are you? I didn’t win this, I’m giving it away 😀 Interesting about your mom…perhaps best for her to head it and give it a try before using but if you can’t swatch that makes it a pain ;(

      • mary_in_wonder

omg why did I write that? o.O Must have been hyper-super tired >.> I’m deadly tired in general,…..well, Im cursed HEHE

        • the Muse

lol no worries Mary 😀 ditto! it’s monday cannot function here!

  • anna

great giveaway! I always see korres in my TJ Maxx but I never got around to try any products. I especially liked the Yougurt line, it sounded really tempting

    Thanks Muse!

I just picked up Guava at my Sephora and seriously……my Chapstick’s got nothin’ on this pot-o-shea butter goodness! Oh, and am dying to try their Pomegranite products!

    Following you on twitter 🙂

I just recently discovered Korres and have loved everything I have tried! I would love to win this and try more of their stuff 🙂

I saw another comment about the pink hair extensions! I got them last year. I’ve always wanted to have a little pink in my hair but can’t with my job, but got away with it for a little while last year with a reason for it. They should offer them all year and still donate!!!

    • the Muse

hey cc got your follow and got your entered to win for your comment, twitter, etc!

I’ve always wanted a blue streak but pink sounds just as awesome :-D!!!!!!!!!

  • Lisa

I have always wanted to try Korres. And lately have found myself going into Sephora or on their website and just staring at it or reading reviews. I’m trying to convert my cosmetics collection into natural/not going to kill me products lately. So perhaps this is just one more temptation under my belt….one day Korres, one day.

  • Del

Hey Muse – looks like a really great giveaway…read all the cool comments your readers left about the different products they use/like & looks like I may have to indulge so I can see for myself all this juicyness that everyone is talkin about. My sis just started using Korres stuff & I know she loves it. Maybe I’ll have to hop on the Korres bandwagon!

  • Jywoi

Wooow! They are quite generous O_o
I’ve never tried Korres (a bit too expensive for me) but they seem to have some really great stuff!

  • MeredithWD

Hi there! the korres line looks SUPER indulgent 🙂 Im glad to support any company or individual that contributes money to cancer research. My mother got Uterine Cancer when i was 12 and then found a lump in her breast a few years later. Cancer doesnt just affect those who have the illness, but those around them. Although i truly wish it was something she never had to go through, ill never forget how it made me realize at a youg age how much she means to me.

    Great Blog~Meredith

    • the Muse

      hi meredith 🙂

I feel the same way about companies donating to cancer research! I’m so so sorry to hear about your mum 🙁 I hope she’s well now.

      Good Luck!

  • Marlo

That’s really nice of Korres to provide such an awesome prize package, and for a great cause. 🙂 I’ve been wanting to try that blush.
