Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Glossy Shinestick Review and Swatches
Hey guys!
What’s news today? I’m kinda lagging off bad today. So much to do, so little time to do it. Miss me much? I’m missing you!
Today I’m reliving some of my youth with Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Glossy Shinesticks. Why the reliving part? Well, they remind me so much of the Covergirl Gloss Sticks from yesteryear, which by the way are still around to this day.
Jump ahead for the review.
Yes well, I’m so cheap lately that I was weighting in the price of these new lippies. It’s one of the first things that captured my attention prior to being blinded by the cosmetic light which turns into, “omg! so cute! must have it!”
Let’s be honest for a second. These are expensive. $7 bucks gets you one or you can save $1 by picking up 2 of ’em for $12. Why are they expensive? The small size and the formula is so moisturizing that it melts away the product quite quickly. We are looking at .06 oz in size….Covergirl Lipslicks are .14 oz and nearly half the price.
But…now that my rant is over about the price and size even I admit they are rocking. I actually really like ’em. Moisturizing, sheer hint of color, cute little packaging, and a different flavor for every gloss makes ’em a nice little pick me up for swiping onto lips and going.
From what I gather each gloss is flavored differently. I picked up two shades and one sported coconut flavor and the other lemonade, cool right? The Muse loves little touches like this. The shades I got were Lemon Twist and Colada Love. Lemon Twist is kinda a mauve pink with golden shimmer and Colada Love is more of a nude rose, bit of a brown pink almost. The shades have decent pigmentation so really color pay off isn’t limited to a very sheer layer of pigment. You’ll notice a pretty nice shade to your lips after application.
I suppose we can debate how much cheaper Covergirl is at this point but I won’t go into it because fact is I actually kind of like these price and size aside. Overall, the moisturizing, melty formula applies smoothly and leaves my lips slightly shiny with nice color. You can really get crazy and buy 5 of ’em for $20 bucks which really breaks the price down or just try one or two. I’m not moaning too much as I purchased two with a $10 coupon so I got ’em for $2 bucks. I suggest waiting for a $10 dollar coupon to pop into your mail box (if you shop at VS you’ll get one sooner or later) and getting ’em them if you aren’t feeling the price tag as is.
Me?
I liked ’em. Cute little gloss stick.
Anyone try?
Dig ’em?
