Would You Buy It? Ed Hardy Color Love Kills Slowly and Geisha Makeup Kits

would you buy it 2

The Muse was nosing around Nordies and came across the new Ed Hardy Color Kits and was wondering would you buy it?

The kits are available in two styles and even include Ed Hardy solid fragrance. The sets are available in two styles for $55 each.

Ed Hardy Color Geisha Kit includes:
Ed Hardy Eau de Parfum Solid
Ed Hardy Love and Luck Eau de Parfum Solid
6 Lip Colors and Glosses
6 Eye Shadows
3 Brushes
1 Face Bronzer

Ed Hardy Color Love Kills Slowly 2

Ed Hardy Color Love Kills Slowly Kit includes:
Ed Hardy Eau de Parfum Solid
Ed Hardy Love and Luck Eau de Parfum Solid
6 Lip Colors and Glosses
6 Eye Shadows
3 Brushes
1 Face Bronzer

Ed Hardy Color Love Kills Slowly 1

The only difference in the kits from what I can see is that Love Kills Slowly is a bit cooler in tone. The kits are actually quite nice from photos I’ve seen not sure about the makeup in regards to quality. Fact is it’s alot of cosmetic for the $55 price tag plus the actual box that houses the makeup is nicely made and lights up.

Would I buy the new Ed Hardy Color Collections?

Hmmm…yes I do believe I would.

Count me on the curious side.

What about you?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I could – the colours in the Geisha set look appealing enough. I know people find Ed Hardy tacky, but if it’s worn in small doses (not all over like Jon Gosselin), then it’s alright. But then again I am only saying this cause I have a pair of Ed Hardy shoes 😛

    • the Muse

ha I feel the same way vanessa. a few pieces are awesome just not 250% Ed Hardy advertisement as JG! haha 😀 I have a pair two and a bag…even have the fragrance…I like the line….:-D

Wonder about the quality of the makeup!

  • mary_in_wonder

hmm I’d pass them….They inspire nothing in me….even though I love Ed Hardy! I have this “dream” that when I get some (enough) money to spend freely, I’ll buy the Love & Luck parfume. I’m totally take by it and its $100 price tag XDD

  • ruthlessrock

Ed Hardy is SO passe, I can’t support anything that brand does. Especially now that Jon Gosselin is promoting it.

    • the Muse

lots of haters on the ed hardy ruthlessrock 😀

I don’t mind it so much but I’m def not a JG fan 😛

    • the Muse

lol kelly lots of ed hardy haters 😀 I think I’d go for it as it’s rather cute 😀 but than again I’m such a makeup junkie it could have the snorks printed on it and I’d buy it LOL!

I’ve been lemming this on discountbeautycenter.com. Each one is the same $55 and they are running an email promotion for $10 off a $100 purchase of not-on-sale-stuff so this qualifies. I usually manage free shipping with them. There prices are usally retail but with coupons it works out to a good deal.

    • the Muse

ugh melissa don’t tell me about coupons! now I’m going to want to go over and buy them LOL damn!

  • Kat

I loved the Snorks! I saw that palette yesterday browsing the Nordie’s site. I like the colors, eh about Hardy, but was dying to see if it was Muse approved! I’ll have to wait though 🙁 stocked up on some Bobbi Brown and Trish McEvoy for my GWP at Nordies. If you do get it you must let us know of the quality!

    • the Muse

lol me too kat 🙂 I’m very curious. I don’t want to order online though as I wanna have a little swatch if possible. But of course I will 🙂 hehe!

My sis has the one in the pink set. She said the colors go on great and I believe she got it at Dillard’s here.. well, my mom bought it for her. She’s 12.. lol. I don’t understand why people don’t like Ed Hardy? I mean yeah, it’s been highly promoted and everything, but I think the designs are amazing.. and not tacky to me. I love the whole “grunge” feel (??) with the line. I work at a retail store and when I show my customer’s the fragrance bottle, some of them think it looks Satanic. Silly people!!

  • Shanny

I just the color one in the blue packaging yesterday and I used the small dome shaped face brush to apply some bronzer and a little bit of the bronzer in the kit as a hilight on my nose and cheekbones. I’m really into lip products right now so I’m excited to try the lip colors in it. I found it at my local drugstore for $36 before tax and approximately $40 with tax.

I bought this at Shoppers Drug Mart, for 19,99$, im a make up artist and the colors have great pigmentation, the glosses are not sticky, they’re nice, and the blush is nice too, I got the geisha one because I liked the colors better. I really Love the Love kills slowly perfume so it was nice to have the solid version 🙂
A definite good buy for me 🙂
Plus the geisha one looks nice on my vanity… Can’t say the same for the pink one though, it’s like a skull on top and it looks much tacky, the geisha is soft and pretty, you can almost not tell its Ed Hardy 🙂
    HTH

I think I would go for the Geisha Set…the Love Kills Slowly colors do look a lil too “Intense” for me, I found the set for $20 can. so I think it might be worth the purchase 🙂
