Beauty on a Budget: L’Oreal HIP Matte Shadow Duo
The Muse wants to know, are there really people out there that work in mattes? If so, I want you to know I admire you so bloody much. Matte is probably one of thee most difficult mediums I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I’m no expert at makeup application but I do think that shimmers, pearls, creams, etc…are way easier to blend and work with when compared to mattes. Mattes are the work of the devil as far as this Muse is concerned.
However, if matte is your bag you’ll adore the fact that L’Oreal HIP now has a range of shadow duos that are matte in formula and highly pigmented.
Jump for it.
Available in five shade selections the new L’Oreal HIP Matte Shadow Duos will set you back $6.99-$7.99 in drugstores. Hey, save money while getting your matte vibe on, coolness right?
Although extremely difficult to blend (hello, how many mattes do you know that blend well?) these are richly pigmented. Each shadow contains two shades with a nifty little applicator tucked into a separate compartment on the bottom of the compact.
Shades available are:
- Animated (Bright Blue and White)
- Poppy (Orange and Brown)
- Perky (Green and Navy Blue)
- Dashing (Dusky Rose and Black)
- Striking (Yellow and Black)
The colors are all pretty vibrant so if you’re a lover of both matte and brighter shades these should fit your style bill. Overall, with their budget price tag and pigmented formula they should be a joyful addition to any matte lovers makeup case.
As for this Muse she stays far from the mattes, they are evil. However, I have taken to wetting these and using them as a liner. Beauty improvise, it’s a good thing.
Available now at drugstores.
Anyone a matte fan?
