BRTC Aqua Rush Fluid Review

Make Up For Ever HD Elixir is really my go to product for getting my skin in tip top shape for foundation. At $38 for a tiny bottle it can get expensive to keep it around which is why I’m so delighted I discovered BRTC Aqua Rush Fluid.

BRTC Aqua Rush Fluid 1

Jump for it!

BRTC is a Korean Brand well known for their BB Creams however they do offer skincare options as well and the new Aqua Rush line is pretty fabulous. I got a HUGE bottle of BRTC Aqua Rush Fluid as a gift with purchase when a friend hauled me some BRTC BB Creams. I believe it retails for around $24 in Korea which is a great deal as the bottle is quite large. I’ve also have had the pleasure of seeing it up and around the Internet for sale at a similar price.

BRTC Aqua Rush Fluid 2

Aqua Rush Fluid is a watery formula that aids in providing moisture to dry skin. It contains deep sea mineral water which cares for rough skin and helps to control balance of oil and moisture. My experience with it has been quite good. I wouldn’t say it provides enough moisture for dry skin but it does prep skin very well and it somehow has balanced out my skin so it isn’t oily nor is it dry, it just seems to be a normal stand point at the moment.

It does have some similar ingredients as MUFE Elixir one in particular is hyaluronic which is supposed to hold water in the skin according to Make Up For Ever. Granted it’s not a complete dupe for MUFE but it does pretty much perform just as well. I wouldn’t use it as a sole way to moisture my face but it does a good job prepping my skin for foundation. It moistens my face, absorbs nicely, and gets rid of flakes and such on my skin to create a more even texture.

I imagine BRTC didn’t create it as a way to prime but I find it’s the perfect solution for just that. Overall, it’s ability to create a good working canvas for foundation and the way it makes my skin behave it self (no oily forehead, no dry cheeks, etc…) makes it worth it’s weight in gold. I’d much rather splash out $30 or so for this large size than $38 for a tiny bottle of MUFE. They aren’t complete dupes mind you but Aqua Rush Fluid does do the job and does it right.

Likey alot.

If you’re lemming it I suggest checking Sasa as they carry some BRTC items including some of the Aqua range or E-bay where I’ve seen bottles for $30 dollars or so with free shipping.

Loves it! Worthy of a haul and Muse Approved for purchase.

Will it be suitable for sensitive skin?
My skin is quite sensitive to frangrance.
        Thank you!

I’m not sure Michelle. Sadly I don’t have sensitive skin. You can never tell what may or may not break you out, it’s best to test in store if you are within Korea.

Great review! I really want to try this product as I get fairly dry patches in the winter.. would you say it’d be appropriate for someone with combination skin? It seems to be of a gel-like consistency… Thanks!

    • the Muse

it’s not really gel-like but more watery renee sure, combo skin is fine.

Have you tried the BRTC’s Aqua Rush Water Drop BB Cream? It looks nice, but doesn’t seem to boast anything other than moisturizing…

  • Coco

Have you tried the Hada Labo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Acid Lotion? I works wonders as a pre-foundation/BB prep product too because it has a good slip and supple texture.
