Fresh Strawberry Flowers Perfume Review

Contrary to the Muse’s utmost belief that Strawberry Fields was a legendary journey through Lennon’s head when he was dropping a tab, in actuality it’s a real place that he was talking about. Dontcha just want to believe that half his songs are all about a psychedelic acid trip? John Lennon is like the poster boy for good acid trips a la the un-paranoid journey.

But seriously…Strawberry Fields was the name of a Children’s Home next to John’s childhood home in Woolton. He actually played around the area and in a garden behind the actual home which was indeed named Strawberry Fields.

Dontcha love it? You get a review and FUN facts bout John Lennon. How cool am I?

I won’t bug you further with the details of Strawberry Fields (I know all sorts of fun trivia about the Beatles) but speaking on the topic of strawberries and fields and such is my lead in for Fresh Strawberry Flowers Perfume. Loving all over it lately after purchasing it during Sephora Friends and Family.

Although in my mind’s eye I was thinking Strawberry Flower must smell like Strawberry…true but also quite complex, very fun, and beautiful. I purchased this because I wanted something a little different from Fresh and was getting tired of my normal adventures with Fresh Lemon Sugar. Having never smelled it prior it was kind of a spontaneous surprise me type of fragrance as I did order online (something you should never do, buy perfume online that is).

Fresh Strawberry Flowers Perfume combines fruity top notes of strawberry with a sparkling citrus that morphs the blend and creates a cross between fruity and tart. It manages to have a slight floral dry down but also dominates with a tart envelope of lemon, mandarin, and yuzu and a heavier underlay of strawberry. It’s quite interesting and very difficult to describe but just know quite lovely to say the least.

It’s supposedly limited edition and exclusive to Sephora but it’s been around a while now which I count my blessings for as I think I’ll pick up another. It’s an Eau de Parfum so a little goes a long way for plenty of throw and lovely linger. It used to be $38 but is now marked down to $24. It’s sported the $24 price tag for a while and in my humblest is a great value for the price considering it’s parfum and has a high oil content.

Overall, I love the combination of fresh, juicy strawberries with touches of tart citrus. A very fun blend that can work throughout the day, it’ll be a nice addition to my Spring and Summer perfume wardrobe.

Anyone have it?

LOVE IT!!! I snagged the smaller bottle a while ago while waiting in line at Sephora and trying all their travel sized stuff. I love the way Strawberry Flowers smells…more so then Lemon Sugar (and I love Lemon Sugar). Knowing that there is a price drop, I am going to snag myself a bottle. XD

I’ve been wanting to try this out for a while, but my local store doesn’t have an open tester for it. :/ I think I’ll have to try it now since you gave it such a glowing review. :D And yes, that maze will get me every time! I always end up buying some lip balm or travel size product.

hey valerie! Try taking it out of the box in the store and just sniffing at it, sometimes you can get an idea for the scent or even ask a sales rep if you might be able to twist open the bottle for a quickie sniff :-D

damn them and the maze! My store didn’t have that for a while and suddenly it’s like four walls surrounding me…you can easily dish out $100 bucksor more waiting in line! AHHHHHHHH!

I bought this earlier this year and LOVED it! Totally finished the bottle. Would repurchase if I didn’t have a billion other fragrances to get through, LOL!
