I'm surprised that you had a hard time getting it to work with so many brushes... mine worked fine with a regular blush brush. I’m actually quite in love with this blush! The Studio Tools Skunk Brush worked amazingly for me! Also, my kabuki. I never thought of it being too "hard" or "packed tightly." This just works for me and I think I'd buy it again.
