Hitting the Hard Candy beat again lovies.  Today I have some Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer to review for you.

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer 2

Jump for it.

Silicon lovers rejoice as Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer is a great alternative to your regular primer of choices such as Smashbox Photofinish.

Here’s the deal.

I hate silicon primers so I didn’t like this at all. Absolutely no love here for this primer however I will say that for a silicon primer it’s very good formula wise and anyone who likes such primers will readily enjoy this for both the quality and the price.

The primer has a heavy silicon base but feels very silky, very smooth. It applies and absorbs fairly easily, gliding across the face and creating a smooth, matte finish. The primer has a powder-like dry down almost as soon as it comes into contact with your skin so it should do very well for those who are oily. It’s texture allows for it to sit above the skin creating a smoother appearance if you happen to have larger pores.

For me it’s a no go simply because I hate the way silicon primers feel on my face. They feel greasy somehow and mask-like. This was no exception to the fact and honestly if you simply abhor (I know I do) Smashbox Photofinish I’d avoid this at all costs.

If you’re a lover of silicon primers and you’re wanting to snag a good one on the cheap I highly suggest checking out Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer. With an $8 price tag this could possibly turn into a huge savings in your primer world.

As for this Muse she’ll stick to her Korres Primer thank you very much!

Anyone haul this yet?

I really thought that this was horrible. I felt very oily within a couple of hours. I am going to return it. =(

dana same same for me. are you oily in general or did make it worst? I’m dry and I felt oily too but I get that with most silicon primers. I’m curious how it will go for Summer wear when I am oily.

Bummer! I was hoping this primer might work for me, but silicone-based primers tend to make my oily face even oiler too.

I’m quite tempted by this,
I hate the feel of silicon primers, but they are what works best for me!

I love smashbox’s photofinish light.. This is by far the cheapest and one of the cutest silicon based primer I’ve seen! Definitely will give it a try!

I don’t use primers often, but I don’t have any problem with silicon usually…I might have to give this a try for my oily t-zone.

hi lisa!

I’m not much for silicon primers :-D but should be good for oily bits as it dries down to a nice matte finish :)
