Lorac Silver Screen Full Face Collection Palette Review and Swatches
The Muse is ever so guilty of sometimes passing by great palettes and never realizing their potential. That would be the case with the new Lorac Silver Screen Full Face Collection Palette.
Oh my gosh, how did I miss this one? It’s available exclusively at Ulta and it’s $30 bucks and probably some of the best money you’ll spend on such a nice palette this season. Really liking the elegant looks you can create with.
Jump ahead to hear more.
Lorac Silver Screen Full Face Collection contains 8 shadows, 2 blushes, 1 lipgloss, and a dual ended applicator. The basic idea of the palette is it allows for you to create two looks but really nothing is stopping you from creating a ton of others by mixing and matching up the shades included if you so please. It’s housed in a silver flip top compact with a full size mirror.
The back of the box includes an easy guide to create two separate looks using each row of shadows. It’s fairly an easy guide, nothing crazy, and in my humblest the looks can be pulled off very easily. Each look is very natural and pretty, good for day or evening, and fairly elegant and work safe.
The shadows are my favorite item as they are so smooth and blend fairly easily. They have a light, airy texture with a faint sparkle but nothing overly done in regards to shimmer and glitter. You have a choice between a warmer look or a cooler depending on which shades of shadow you use to create your look. The top row contains warmer shades of color to create a day time friendly look that’s flattering with a sophisticated edge where as the bottom row contains cooler shades for a more dramatic smoky eye look.
As mentioned above the instructions are easy to follow and apply to both the cool and warm shades. It’s a matter of using a color wash, highlighting, and contrasting two shades on your lid and crease, no prior rocket scientist degree required to create your looks.
The palette also includes a mini universal shade of gloss to compliment both looks. The gloss sports a deep coral peachy tone. And finally there are two blushes one cooler and one warmer. The shadows are nicely pigmented but not crazily so you aren’t left with a harsh blast of color, the blushes also sport a similar formula and the gloss works much as a lip cream as it’s pigmented to work by itself without lipstick or stain under it.
Overall, it’s ease of use and flattering shades of color make this one a winner for me. I’d probably have passed it up as a do not buy but after trying it out for size I was absolutely delighted with the results.
Very nice, this one deserves a Muse Approval for purchase. Anyone who likes a softer makeup look will absolutely adore this.
