NARS The Multiple Review
The Muse has decided she needs to be educated and you, as a reader of her crazy babbling, need to do the educating. With all the hype that surrounds NARS The Multiple I decided it was time to try it for myself. Indeed, you read that correctly, I have never tried these. I really like NARS in general but I’m not too big a fan of cream blushes so The Multiple never tickled me as something I absolutely had to have otherwise my sky would come crashing down upon me. That feeling has been known to come upon me from time to time in regards to makeup.
Moral of the story is during Sephora Friends and Family I decided well wow here’s a good excuse to indulge.
Take the jump to hear my thoughts.
Here’s the part where I need a little help and education on the topic of “The Multiple”. What’s the big deal? What’s so great about it? Why so much hype and excitement? I honestly didn’t find anything that great about it after use.
Here’s the deal.
I love NARS Blushes and they are $25 bucks a pop for 0.16oz of blush and the NARS Multiple is $37 for 0.50oz. So for some odd reason I feel like the powder will last me much longer than the stick. After two uses already the stick is kinda reaching a quarter way down the tube.
Now the formula is nice…it’s pigmented, blends beautifully well, etc…however it’s not exactly long wearing and all that “multiple” stuff just isn’t happen. I got mine in the shade Orgasm which is my fav but Orgasm in my humblest should be directed at cheeks, just doesn’t work so fab on lips and eyes in cream form. I will say the color is absolutely stunning once applied and even more vibrant and beautiful than the powder form, almost Super Orgasm-like in color, but I just wish it sported a longer wearing formula, it literally melts away within an hour or less.
My main beef is it’s $37 bucks and even after my 20% discount I still felt like I was getting a better deal if I indulged in a powder blush from NARS. I’m thinking all my ranting stems from how much I dislike cream blushes but if I’m honest and step away from my cream blush hating, I’d say the formula wasn’t anything to get too hyped over especially not as hyped as some people make this out to be. I mean this tops many an HG (holy grail) list, just not mine.
NARS The Multiple, no likey. I’m sticking with NARS Powder Blushes.
Feel free to babble it and change my mind.
