Sephora Holiday Catalog 2009 Holiday Magic
My Sephora Holiday Catalog popped into my mail box this week. w00t! Love looking through the catalog and drooling! If you’re a longtime reader you know I post images of the catalog each season as I have plenty of readers abroad who I’m sure enjoy seeing some of the looks and pages from it. I know I enjoy sharing it with you!
So if you’re wanting your first look at the Sephora Holiday Catalog 2009 take a jump!
This year it’s a whopping 50 pages where as I believe last year it was a bit smaller but don’t quote me on that as I can’t remember what I ate for dinner last night never mind how big the Sephora Catalog was last year.
As you may recall I mentioned last year how looks have gotten a bit simple in newer catalogs. This year it does borderline on simple but the looks are all very festive with PLENTY of glitter. If you’re a glitter/sparkle hater you’ll probably die after seeing the models as they are all engulfed in shimmer. As for me I absolutely adore it. Since I’m pretty much overexposed to Holiday Collections at or around August because of my blog it does sometimes prove difficult to get as excited as I once did about seeing all the new goodies. Regardless I’m still a makeup junkie none the less and pretty pictures still manage to make me drool.
A few things that stood out for me….
First of all I really love the model on the front cover. The dramatic lashes, bubblegum pink lips, and beautiful glittery eyes has me fairly swooning
Secondly, the look below created using Illamasqua Eye Shadows in Fatal and Sadist had me jumping around in my seat. As you may know I haven’t been to taken in with Illmasqua but this was so stunning, I wish I could wear mattes this well.
Nothing jumped up and grabbed me too much in regards to gift sets or cosmetics but I do love that Sephora is all about getting more for less lately plus loading everyone up on free samples, etc…I did see the Sephora Collection Flashy Liner Set ($20) that contains 7 eye liners in bright, vibrant shades, this captured my attention and looked quite nice. Another thing that got me hyped was the Sephora Colorful Artist Palette ($30) which had some pretty nice shades and appeared to have a nice texture. Pretty rare that I lem Sephora makeup but these two items stood out for some reason.
Lastly, I’m not loving the Sephora Gift Card and tag (gift box tag) this year. It’s a green, purple, and blue polka dot affair. I don’t really get much of a Holiday feel from it…however it looks like the S emblem may be in little crystals but not sure…also it’s the customary black compact mirror you get with the gift card, no special one. Kinda disappointing as I collect these year to year. But…with the economy as is, companies do have to save money in some ways I’m sure.
Aside from my babblings….please feel free to add your own!
