Too Faced Lashlight Mascara Review

The Muse was thinking that the night the lights went out in Georgia some chick was trying to apply mascara and failed epically. Bet she was wishing she had Too Faced Lashlight Mascara.

Now it got me thinking…what if the lights go out in New York one day soon? How will I apply mascara? What if I fail as badly as that chick in Georgia, gasp! Oh my god the drama of it all.

Yes, I think I need to a little Too Faced Lashlight Mascara, just in case, you never know. Could prove to be Y2K2 all over again!

We had some lit lipgloss already so it was only a matter of time they lit up our mascara too right?

What is it?

Too Faced Lashlight is a mascara formulated to thicken and lengthen lashes with a glossy formula and an exclusive light-up wand for perfect mascara application in the dark.

Granted you probably aren’t going to be applying your mascara in the dark any time soon but hey it could happen. Here’s the thing….it could be a bit of a novelty but I’m so about the packaging and I kinda find it cute and actually functional and helpful in some cases.

If you switch on the light and look into a fall mirror be prepared to be blinded. The light is very bright and it’ll shine into your eyes causing problems during application. Take it from me you do not want to apply mascara while being blinded by a light. However, if you apply with the nifty little mirror on the mascara tube, light on, you’ll notice that the light is pretty helpful getting ever single lash. The mirror and the light help to guide you along so you’re really getting a good full on application of mascara. Plus hey you may be in a dark club one night or the lights in your city may totally switch off (stranger things have happened) and you need to apply mascara…bang….hit the switch and let there be light. By the way it makes a fine little light when you’re struggling to find the keyhole after a long night of partying a little too hard.

Most important I imagine you really want to know about the formula. It’s pretty good. The applicator isn’t anything to write home about as it’s a standard bushy brush however it does a good job of application. The formula is indeed super inky black and offers good lenght and volume however not a ton of curl but none the less fatter, juicer lashes, loves it!

Overall, it’s a rather fun novelty item but as I said pretty functional to as you can literally see lashes you are missing during application thanks to the nifty light. The formula is nice and pigmented, does exactly what it promises, plus has the added benefit of starting up a fun conversation when you whip it out for touch ups. I’m going to dish out for mascara anyway might as well have it multitask as a flashlight too!

Likey!

Kudos Too Faced! What the world needs more of now is some Lashlight Mascara.

Anyone try yet?
