Bath and Body Works Temptations 3-in-1 Body Wash I Love Licorice Review

Anyone get the chance to haul the Bath and Body Works Holiday Temptations this year? I got all four but honestly it was only because I snagged them on sale otherwise I could have skipped two out of the four scents released.

Bath and Body Works Temptations I Love Licorice 1

Jump to hear the good word on I Love Licorice.

So here’s the deets.

They really didn’t go crazy with this collection did they? I’ve been to a few BBW’s and honestly the stock was pretty darn low…but I’m noticing that was pretty much the case with much of holiday themed gifts and items. Could be the economy, could be the recession, but fact is stock was kinda on the low end around these parts. Twisted Peppermint was pretty much the first to go…I haven’t seen a bottle anywhere aside from online that is. How’s stock your side of the world?

Anyway.

’nuff babble, on with the review.

Out of the four scents Bath and Body Works Temptations Body Wash in I Love Licorice was a fav for sure. It’s kinda a weird one for the Holidays in all honesty as it has a berry Twizzler, licorice scent going on. Sorry I don’t associate licorice with the holidays but regardless I’m still loving the sweet, fruity scent. Could be deemed childish if you aren’t up for something wicked sweet and fruity, me, I love it.

If you haven’t hauled Temptations before the low down is they can used as a shampoo, body wash, and a bubble bath, three in one wins this race. I’ve always been pretty chuffed with the line since they are around $6 bucks cheaper than Philosophy’s version and in some cases better scented (but not as of lately since Philosophy has improved majorly over time).

Bath and Body Works Temptations I Love Licorice 2

I’d recommend I Love Licorice to anyone who adores a sweet, fruity blend. It’s quite girlish and fun plus you can’t beat the price as they are 50% in store (not online yet but they are buy 2 get 1 free if that tempts you but I’d head in store, that’s the best deal).

Likey, Muse Approval for the chicks who love a little sweet in their showers.

Anyone haul?

All the temptations were 50% off at my B&BW in Upstate NY! 🙂
I had already bought two cans of the peppermint shape-able foam soap though haha…

    • the Muse

annika me too! I grabbed some of the soap too 😀 they went on sale fasttttttttt right? Where in new york are you?

  • Dina

i got the peppermint of course (husband & i both love mint products) and just recently picked up the nutcracker one, which is kinda strange and i’m not 100% sold on it but kept going back to it for some reason. did you get that one, curious what you think?

    • the Muse

me too dina, I have a thing for mint. I got the nutcracker too and not at all sold on it either. It smells off on me but since it was $5 and I had a 20% off coupon I hauled anyway but it really is kinda bizaaro smelling. They really didn’t put alot of thought into these or is that me ranting my head off?

its like they just pulled some holiday themes out of the air and the scents were an afterthought. also, i totally agree w/ you about the licorice-the bottle is borderline valentiney except for the pepermint stripes.

        • the Muse

dina agreed. I love this line so much and was so excited to see they brought it back but it was really an after thought product. Love Twisted Peppermint but the other two were so meh. And agreed the licorice is very valentine’s-like…I LOVE the scent but it’s just not christmas-y for me…meh. I’m such a complainer haha!

It sounds great. I love sweets, fruitly scents so I love licorice is perfect for me.

  • Marina

I love these! I had the peppermint one a couple years ago! Licorice sounds great! I thought it was kind of an odd scent to choose for the holidays, but their limited edition Liplicious (lip jewels or something?) line even has a licorice scented and flavored gloss (which is amazing, btw. Tried it at the store. I bought Crystal Candy though.)

    • the Muse

hey marina the twisted peppermint is awesome 😀 LOVE! Oh yes I got those, very very tasty 😀 I have a review upcoming on ’em shortly :-D!

  • Kristina

I bought Philosophy’s Red Licorice scent last year. Twizzlers are one of my favorites so I had to. I don’t think they make it anymore so maybe I should stock up on BBW’s version!

    • the Muse

kristina I got it too isn’t it fabs!? BBW’s version isn’t as spot on but pretty close!!!!!!! It’s $5 bucks can’t beat the price!

  • auroragyps

I just hope this means they’ll keep putting out more 3 in 1 s for each season. My mom & I both love the Iced Tea one. I’m almost out of mine, so I’d really like for it to come back.

    • the Muse

oh auro I LOVED ice tea 🙁 I’m almost out too! le sigh! I sure hope they bring it back!
