Holiday Makeup Looks: Simple Holiday Makeup Look

Holiday Makeup Looks

The Muse has compiled a few looks for the Holidays that she’ll be posting about daily. Today I’m concentrating on simplicity as who doesn’t want a super easy look that gets you out of the door quickly but also has you looking elegant and pretty.

Jump ahead for a simple Holiday Makeup Look!

You only need a total of five items to get my look, see simple, I told you (this isn’t counting your base makeup products of course).

  • Cheeks

Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten in Down to Earth

Don’t have it? No problem try using a peachy or golden MAC Mineralized Skinfinish for the same results.

  • Eyes

NARS Eye Shadow in Night Star

Don’t have it? Use a sheer shimmering shade of peach from your current collection.

Don’t have it? Use a soft eye pencil in brown.

Benefit Bad Gal Brown Mascara

Don’t have it? Use any brown mascara that deepens your lashes.

  • Lips

MAC Dazzleglass in Get Rich Quick

Don’t have it? Use a super shimmery golden brown gloss.

The looks is pretty basic and self explanatory. It’s a matter of sweeping a little of NARS Night Star on your eyes, few coats of mascara, and lining your waterline with brown liner. For your face dust on your blush and go!

NARS Night Star is one of my favorite shades of shadow from the brand as it’s perfect for an elegant, natural look. It’s sheer and subtle but it packs enough heat to be noticeable and lovely. Benefit Bad Gal Brown really makes my brown lashes stand out even better especially when I’m doing a more natural, fresher look. Korres Eye Liners always make my eyes look fantastically alluring. And finally the Laura Geller Blush-N-Brighten in Down to Earth gives my cheeks a hint of shimmery color that isn’t overly done.

It’s not really festive per say but it is elegant and pretty for a business party or a night out particularly when paired up with some sort of brown or gold blouse, dress, or shirt.

A simple holiday makeup look from your Muse!

Hope you enjoyed.

        *hug*
Well, I’d tell you it’s due to my slathering on sunscreen, but really, I couldn’t tan to save my life if I tried! I do that icky BURN, then peel. It’s just not cute.

Ah LOVE it. You look gorgeous! The MAC dazzleglasses look great, are they as sticky as the regular lip glasses? I wasn’t a fan of those, so I haven’t tried any recent MAC lip products.

Wow, it’s so simple but it looks great on you!
I can never get away with wearing eye shadows that are lighter than my skin tone– it always makes me look like a ghost (depressing, right?).
And I usually go all out when I put on my eye makeup, I have so many bright colors it’s like I want to try out all the color combinations I can, lol.
But, thanks for this, I’ll probably try it out. (:

aww megan! actually I’m jealous, wish my skin was as light :-D

I used to do alot of bolds and brights but I’ve become reasonable subdued with color lately haha :-D
