Lorac Cheek Stamp Blush Review and Swatches
For those who are hitting the Lorac VIP Section hard this season I thought I’d take a second out to share some swatches and a review of the Lorac Cheek Stamp Blushes I hauled.
Check it after the jump!
Ahhh we can see where Etude House got the idea for their Cheek Stamp Blushes now can’t we? I remember lemming the Lorac Cheek Stamp Blush when it first came out but I never did indulge but hey for $4.99 I can be convinced.
So what are they anyway?
Well it’s basically a stamp, literally. The blush powder is housed in the base of the compact, simply twist open and a springy sponge applicator is released. The actual unit is made of two parts, lid with powder inside and sponge applicator. Smile and apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks. That’s it! Blush that stamps on.
Cool right?
What did I think?
I like ’em. They have a nice silky formula and although they swatch and look chalky they apply beautifully on my face. One thing I did notice was occasionally I had to blend out with my fingertips but most times it applies smoothly. You probably won’t have to reload the sponge as I find a single twist will get me plenty of product since they are quite pigmented.
I hauled five shades (one of which I got with a set I purchased from Lorac). Almost all the shades were a win for me. My swatches below don’t do them nearly enough justice as they really don’t swatch fabulously, it’s a product you have to try to love.
The shades I got were:
- Hibiscus (Rose)
- Coral (Peachy Coral)
- Island Spice (Bronzey Brown)
- Pink Paradise (Bubblegum Pink)
- Golden Glow (Bronzey Tan)
The shades that worked best for me and were my favs were Hibiscus, Coral, and Pink Paradise. I really didn’t love Island Spice or Golden Glow as they made my face look dirty and dull.
Overall, for the price I loved ’em. Actually I’d probably purchase other shades at full price since I thought the product worked so well. As I said they do look somewhat chalky but they perform very well for fresh, smooth, nice color on cheeks and face.
Likey!
$4.99 can’t beat that.
