The Muse really digs on Valentino Rock ‘N Rose, gotta love it! In my quest to cheap things up, lord if you knew me when I started this blog cheap and the Muse never went together, I came across mark Rebel Rose. Rebel Rose, Rock ‘N Rose, eh worthy of a try right? Even I can admit that sometimes Avon comes out with a cool perfume or two.

DO NOT WANT!

Oh boy don’t waste the cash dears. I honestly though mark might take me by surprise and come out with some crazy cool dupe of Valentino’s version or better yet something entirely original and awesome.

Fail.

I guess it smells alright sniffing the bottle. It’s rose for sure, a bit dominate note of rose. I love rose. Rose reminds me of Victorian England (my favorite era), rose reminds me of my girlish good nature, rose candies on my skin and becomes sweet and gorgeous…but this, this just smells cheap as hell when it finally dries down on my skin. It’s spiked with a heavy rose blend and a bit of pink pepper, musk, and vanilla. Personally I get rose, lemon, and eau de cheap perfume.

Mark Rebel Rose 2

On the up side it wears long and has incredible throw but it smells so bad who could care right? It’s the cheap that factors into it for me as it does have that unpolished, OMG I just spent under $20 for a EDT scent that floats around.

Overall, perhaps I’m a little harsh but I just didn’t care for it. Kinda glad I only paid a few bucks on E-bay because if I paid the $18 retail I’d be throwing a tantrum as for $22 more I could get the real deal with Rock ‘N Rose. Teens and younger adults may like it as if you head to Avon there’s a whole lot of OMG THIZ IS TEH BESTEST going on in reviews but for me it’s a fail. I’d skip. Ending on a good note I’m still determined to try out a few more mark fragrances that I haven’t really explored as some sound interesting.

What’s your word?

Anyone try?

Helloo,
Well my friend recently got a sample of this perfume and said it was pretty good. She said this scent was a one-of-a-kind and she absolutely thought it was a good try to buy. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but I might be able to get my hands on it soon. Since I’ve heard your side I’m more hesitant on buying it. Maybe I’ll sniff my friend’s sample and then if I like it I’ll buy a small bottle. Thanks for the review, I almost bought this! You’re helpful! ^_^

Thank you for this review. My friend is a Mark rep and I was thinking about buying this fragrance. I will not waste my money though. I’ll stick to the new YSL fragrance that I absolutely LOVE.

Thanks again :)

sarah stick with the YSL, loving all that rose :-D this is a little cheap imho. Ask your friend if she has a small sample so you can sniff, I personally think it smells somewhat cheap :(

my pleasure!

I’m telling you, the Instant vacation ones are niiiiiice. I especially like the Greek Isles one because you can smell a hint of Coconut. I wouldn’t suggest trying marks Karma…isn’t that supposed to smell like chocolate? I haven’t tried it, but mixing choc with a perfume sounds gross to me.

I love my Far Away…if you are going to a nice romantic dinner or something special, Far Away is for you…..If you want to smell kinda girly but at the same time not too girly that someone assumes you just stepped out of Claires or something, get True Glow.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I also have Tahitian Holiday….which is heavenly, but might be too “spicy” for your taste.

If you want something light but not so light that you can barely smell it, try finding summer white online somewhere…it is discontinued but still out there if you look in the right places.

I just have to say that I love Rebel Rose. The problem you’re having could be that perfumes smell differently on different people. It all is how your body chemistry reacts to chemicals in the perfume. I love In Bloom also, but my grandmother tried it on herself and it smells disgusting, on me it smells beautiful.

You’re are def right Nina. It all depends on body chemistry! I normally do ok with fragrances from mark/avon but this one was rather cheap smelling on me sadly :P oh well! Won’t give up on mark yet! :-D

Thanks for this review. I LOVE true rose fragrances. (In high school I wore and was completely faithful to “Tea Rose” perfume). I had been waiting for a good sale on Rebel Rose as I liked the “scratch & sniff” of it in a catalog. BUT then I recieved a Sephora Catalog with an insert for YSL Parisienne! I immediately fell in love! NOW THAT is a ROSE! The timing fell nicely with those coupon codes Sephora sent out during Christmas too! Want to guess what I ordered? ;-) I think I’ll stick with YSL. I feel more glamorous wearing YSL than mark anyway!
