Napoleon Perdis Gold Digger Glimmer Set Review and Swatches

The Muse admits she has way too many pots of pigments, shimmers, and loose shadow. Why do you think we get all hyper over something as simple as loose pigment? What’s the psychology behind that? I blame MAC.

You know this is why I refuse to get too involved with e-tailer mineral companies. I try to stay clear of anything and everything that has to do with these companies. If I head over to that dark side I’ll have 1,000,000 little 5 gram jars hanging all over the place because I can’t just stop at one color. It’s an addiction I tell you. No, DO NOT WANT!

But anyway….I’m babbling when all I really want to do is show you the new Napoleon Perdis Gold Digger Glimmer Set.

Napoleon Perdis Gold Digger Glimmer Set is $25 (nice little price) and includes three richly pigmented loose powders for eyes. This is a nice little gift but you may get greedy and just want it for yourself.

You’ll get three shade in Gold, White Gold, and Bronze. They can be worn together or seperately, mix ’em, match ’em, line your eyes with them, fill your lid, cocktail with a few drops of water for a metallic, wet shadow effect…possibilities are endless.

Today I mixed up the gold and bronze for a deep chocolate eye look with golden highlights! Likey!

They are pretty easy to use and I faced minimal fall out woes. Each jar has a tiny spout which allows for a small brush or sponge applicator to fit inside and gather up color without a major mess. The shadows adhere well to eyes, are super pigmented, have a nice shimmer finish without being over done, and are finely milled in formula so you aren’t suffering from flaky fall out.

My fav shade is the bronze…honestly I think it’s more of a rich dark chocolate shade. It makes my brown eyes pop with pretty color!

Overall, the price is right bringing in each 3.6g jar at around $8 and change. They’d make a nice little gift as well as they are packaged in a cute little box ready for giving and even include a small brush. The pigmented formula, ease of application and blending, plus the shade selection make them a yay for me.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. OMG. So tempting. Have you ever tried BFTE (Beauty From the Earth)? Their mineral shadows are just incredible. And multi-purpose! They were my first loose shadow, and now I’m in love! I got 10 for $50, but the color of the week (full sized container) for $2! They last FOREVER and you need the smallest amounts. I have Grape, Tangerine, Lemon, Peacock (duo-tone), Mermaid (duo-tone), Whisper (duo-tone), Dragon (duo-tone), Big Island, Kou, Fire Dancer, and Atlantis. Seriously, if you haven’t checked them out, it’s a must. At least look at swatches!

Ah I love the look at the end. Totally wearable. I have problems with pigments, however, too messy.

    • the Muse

*raises hand* me too samantha. It goes EVERYWHERE on me 😀 but these were surprisingly good to work with 😀

  • Nunu

“Now I ain’t sayin’ she a gold digger” xD
I have to admit, altho piggies and loose shadows are pretty as cupcakes, I don’t own A. Single. One. I know, the shame right?
The truth is, I’m terrified of fallout, the disco ball look just don’t do too many favours for me.
In addition…knowing me…I’ll drop them…and we have deep pile cream carpets at home…I don’t wanna see le bf’s reaction when he finds a gorgeous teal patch on it…concealing it with a newspaper only works SO long.

    • the Muse

      haha nunu!

omgzzzzzzzzzzzz you are not a true makeup junkie haha! I’m guilty of disco-balling it all the time 😀 LOL concealing it with newspaper haha 😀 as for me I’m terribly messy and have dropped one too many on my bathroom fall!

  • Tammy

Love the bronze on you! I love pigments even if they do make a huge mess. I blame Mac too, lol!

    • the Muse

LOL totally blame mac tammy 😀 it’s ALL there fault!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you hun!

  • Lisa

I have to admit, loose pigments scare me. I stare at them and am at a loss for what to do. Plus the thought of the mess, I can’t bring myself to try em.
    But that white is tempting. So sparkly. o.o;

  • Tamara

i was wondering what these looked like, thanks for the review! they all look very nice…the white gold reminds me of mac’s solar white. i love them but totally don’t need them…pigments are nice, but as you mentioned messy and addicting! you can never have just one or two!!

    • the Muse

my pleasure tamara 😀 lol yes indeed never ever have I just went with one…that’s my downfall when it came to BE glimmers and mac piggies now I own an absurd amount!

  • DEE3YINT

they all pretty on you .i like the gold one for me but i’m not a glitter person .

    • the Muse

thanks dee! It’s not glitter hun just loose pigment 🙂 with a shimmer finish!
