the Balm Spring Collection 2010: the Balm For Keeps Watercolor Lip Stains

Spring is turning out to be very expensive isn’t it? I’m seeing collection after collection I simply must have. My eye is currently on the Balm Spring 2010 which includes one thing I see myself adding to the old beauty arsenal.

Check it!

the Balm doesn’t go to crazy with collection releases but the one, two, or sometimes three items they do release are typically brilliant. the Balm Spring 2010 brings about one brand new item I simply must try out and one mediocre release that I could possibly skip.

Check it out, the Balm For Keeps Watercolor Lip Stains!

These solid lips stains come in a duo palette with a lip brush. They start out life in a pressed powder format but with a little water you’ll end up with a pop of long lasting lip stain to create a beautiful flush on your lips. Available in Petunia Pink/Raspberry Red or Plum Berry/Brown Sugar.

Pretty sweet right? Count me curious for a try. Each palette is $28 so not exactly cheap but I still want to haul and try it out for myself!

Also releasing is the Balm Shady Lady Vol. 2 which includes 9 shades of shadow. This is a fab deal at $39.50 but it fails to interest me as I just have too many palettes to get through at the moment so the release isn’t something I’ll be indulging in but none the less a super deal for the amount of product you get versus the end cost.

Overall, as always, the Balm releases an innovative, unique product that I want to get my hands on as soon as it’s available.

I am also intrigued by the powder lip stains. Will definitely check them out when released.

The packaging is winning me over. Defiantly worth a check and try and possibly buy.

I was just introduced to this brand via their under eye concealer ( great product, stays put, a little pasty, so apply over an eye cream of some sort to make application easier/smoother), but I have not really tried anything else of theirs. I agree with you that I have waaay too many palettes (especially eye palettes), and UD has such a share of the market (certainly my market) that I can’t imagine what their angle is. The price is good although once again, UD had some amazing pre-holiday deals. I may “play” a little when I go to replenish my concealer . . . yikes, which reminds me, I’m almost out.

      hi tina!

I’m not big on the eye concealer but it’s pretty ok 😀 I must say though their blushes are to die for 😀 I collect them all as they are just so fabs 😀 I totally relate with UD, UD just makes some awesome palettes lately 😀

Weird! I don’t know what happened to the comment I left when I first saw this post the other night T_T
It doesn’t say it’s waiting to be moderated or anything like usual so I’m thinking it disappeared though the space-time vortex.. Oh wells, one solution. Leave another comment! hehe
The lip palette brings me the nostalgia of watercolor painting in grade school. But it does seem like a lot of work for a lip product to wet, mix, and apply.. with lip gloss products it’s apply and go! I wonder if you can use it on your cheeks too.. I loved that about their Staniac 😀

Thanks for sharing this cuteness. Is it available anywhere yet? I wonder if buying something for the adorable packaging is justifiable? I like balm products but I can usally live with out them. Lets see how much my other hauls are first and then I might try this 🙂

    • the Muse

it’s justifiable *nods solemnly* hehe Melissa. yes the balm’s online shop and sephora has it 😀

Have you seen real swatches anywhere? Those stock photos are worrying me! I am thinking of ordering one, but am not sure which one and don’t see any reviews on MUA or Sephora- I suppose because they are just now in stock.

    • the Muse

not sasha but as soon as they are in stock I’m gonna order so I’ll swatch up for you than! 🙂 only one is in stock the last time I looked but if they are both in I’ll order tonight and swatch when they arrive!

      • Sasha

They were both in stock as of noonish today. I have a gift card that must be spent…. I think I’ll order one or both as well.
